Welcome to WOKUNI Lexington, where our Farm-to-Table journey begins in Hirado, Japan.

At our own fish farm, we raise premium bluefin tuna and oversee its journey from the sea to your table in New York.

Previously recognized with a MICHELIN Plate, WOKUNI brings Japanese seafood traditions to Manhattan. Enjoy fresh sushi, sashimi, and our signature WOKUNI-DON in a warm, welcoming atmosphere near Grand Central Terminal.

Our signature WOKUNI TUNA ENTERTAINMENT brings this story to life with a live tuna-cutting show and an exciting auction of rare cuts. Now held at WOKUNI Broadway, event dates and details are updated on our website.

The food was outstanding. While the sushi selections were simple the quality was among the best I’ve ever had outside of Japan. The sushi and sashimi were luxurious. I’m definitely coming back next time I’m in NY.

This restaurant offers a delicious and authentic experience of omikase dining. The ambiance is perfect, sophisticated, modern and upscale. We sat in one of the booths that line the sides of the restaurant. It was a very intimate space. The food, as chosen by the chef, was excellent. The duck course was incredibly tender and the shared portion was generous for two people, however it was slightly underseasoned and slightly too tender, as if it had sat in the Sou Vide bath perhaps 30 minutes too long. The duck needed a unique dipping sauce to go with it. The thinly sliced yellowtail was generous for two and perfectly fresh. The cooked Seabass was the absolute standout, perfectly fired with a dipping sauce just loaded with sweet and savory umami notes. The final course of four per-person pieces of fish and some roe was absolutely perfectly fresh, perhaps the best four pieces of sushi I have ever had. The first course was slightly rushed, with multiple items coming to the table at the same time. After that, the pace was timed to our completion and it did not feel rushed. I highly recommend this restaurant. The subtle issues with the duck would not hold me back from coming here again. For the quality of the food and service, the prices, though NY level, are I think very reasonable. Our bottle of Marleborough Sauv Blanc was priced appropriately and not gouged. Overall, it was a great experience.

Quality and freshness of the fish on the nigiri was pretty good. The size and amount of rice of nigiri were perfect. The miso soup and hot Japanese tea did not meet our expectations.
