Chef Cédric Vongerichten loves the picturesque streets of Nolita, which is why he chose this vibrant Manhattan neighborhood as the location for his new restaurant. Wayan offers Indonesian cuisine with a modern French flair, in a sleek space warmed by teak paneling, lush plants, and whitewashed brick. 2nd time going and everything has been delicious both times. We are tourists and make it a point to go to Wayan when in town, so you know it’s good.

My wife and I are very critical about the quality of the food served in restaurants. She cooks very well and sees no purpose of eating out if the food is not as good as hers. The food at Wayan is very good and surprising. I like the exciting atmosphere in this place.

Food was delicious! What made it an even better experience was our server Laura made some excellent recommendations. She was great!

Beautiful restaurant with very creative food, the lobster noodles and ribs were excellent, service was very amicable and knowledgeable, it was a very nice dining experience.

This was the longest I’ve ever waited for a main course at a restaurant. After 75 minutes with no sign of our entrées, we canceled the order, paid the bill, and left. Completely unacceptable.

The food at Wayan was fantastic and the service top notch. This was my 3rd time visiting and it did not disappoint. More importantly, my friend who joined me was blown away.( She is very picky) she is still raving about the mango salad and octopus. Cocktails were great! We had martinis. The ambience was nice as we sat outside. Everyone who passed curiously looked at our plates because the presentation was so good

Disappointing! Visited Wayan in East Hampton and loved it so we were looking forward to dining at the NYC location. Why offer brunch if you’re not invested in offering a quality experience. Three of our requested items were not available. These weren’t specials that they ran out of, which demonstrates an incredible lack of care. Worse espresso martini I’ve ever had so I couldn’t even drink to elevate the moment.
