Tucked into the sweetest little house in Calistoga, it feels cozy in the most authentic way. Woman-owned, seasonal, and just really, really good. Everything feels thoughtful—from the menu to the space to the way you’re welcomed in. Dishes are all served on handcrafted pottery, they don’t accept tips because the staff is paid a living wage with benefits, and it’s named after Lovina Graves Cyrus… who was a totally awesome woman (look her up). And the spicy Bloody Mary? So good. The kind you keep thinking about later. This is the kind of brunch where time slows down a little. Where you linger. Order one more thing. What a fantastic dinner and experience! It's such a cute restaurant with several different options for where to sit. We sat upstairs on the porch and it felt like we were in a tree house. Food was delicious and Ingrid, our server and was amazing! She made magic happen! I also loved that Lovina is a tipless restaurant and takes care of their employees. I'm happy to tip but it just shows the dedication the restaurant has to take care of their staff. Kudos!! Will definitely be back!

Outdoor seating was chilly even with heater that cycles ever 15 minutes. Servers are not attentive enough for an establishment that is too-free but increases prices to cover such. Servers look as though they rolled out of bed and came to work. Nice if that's your vibe for $60 (3) scallops with risotto à la carte and $5 two ounce (amuse bouche) tastings of soup! Clearly the restaurant takes care of their staff, and that's laudable. But for really great food, service, ambience and better value, head to Scala for the full experience.

Exceptional experience for our anniversary. The food was delicious and the staff made it memorable. Have eaten at a few Michelin restaurants and honestly enjoyed this experience more.
