Great spot , with a beautiful bar and decor. Although delicious, Dishes are quite small.

Loved it! They no longer do an official "brunch" anymore (short-lived and they open at 2 now, not 12!) but still have the towers that were made famous by the various articles written about them. We had the smaller of the 2 towers as well as the deviled eggs, octopus and mussels (I over-ordered for 3 of us, but everything was delicious!). I wanted to like the interesting mignonettes that came with the oysters, but alas, I ended up having to stick to the classic. Points for creativity though, and I think the dropper is an excellent idea, plus reduces waste!

I've been to Grand Army on two occasions and both times thoroughly enjoyed my experiences. The interior is small but very well planned and stylish. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date. The plates are modestly sized and meant to be shared, so don't expect big full sized dinner dishes. We ordered muscles, scallops, a bread plate, 1/2 dozen oysters and were very happy. The muscles, scallops and bread were fantastic! The cocktails are excellent. I'd probably pass on the oysters at full price (they do have a $1 happy hour which we missed) - there are better places for oysters. The waitstaff were nice and attentive. Overall, a pleasant experience and would happily return.

Amazing service. It was pretty crowded when we arrived and the hostess sat us initially in a high traffic area. We didn't mind it, but she offered us a table in the back where it was quieter shortly after seating us. Great cocktails and great oysters. Made for an awesome first date.

My girlfriend was visiting from Ireland and we both love seafood so had to try Grand Army. Had a reservation for 8pm but found ourselves there early. Still got a table, and the manager reassured us that early is good! Our server was polite, knew everything on the menu backwards, and gave us the perfect amount of attention. To start we had a dozen oysters, served with home made tinctures (the pastrami!!!!) and a portion of devilled eggs which were deliciously seasoned. The oysters were some of the freshest I've had in Brooklyn, well sized and reasonably priced. For our mains we shared the mussels and the grilled octopus. Both were perfect! The octopus was tender, and the mussels were huge and full of flavour! Our drinks were a perfect accompaniment to our dishes, refreshing and light. It was a perfect evening, and I can't wait to return in the future!

Totally delightful meal. packed for happy hour with $1 oysters. i must say those were not the stars, but the rest of the menu quite delicious i'd go back in a heartbeat
