We booked a table for a lunch meeting at 12:00 p.m. and arrived on time, only to be told the restaurant was closing for a private event. Despite having a confirmed OpenTable reservation, we received no prior notice and were left scrambling to find another venue. What was most disappointing was the lack of communication and customer service. Even after showing our reservation confirmation, no one offered an apology or a solution. The staff seemed unsure how to handle the situation, and no manager was available to assist. Unfortunately, this experience was unprofessional and left a negative impression. We will not be returning and hope management improves staff training and customer service.

We were really looking forward to eating here but when we arrived they stated their machines were down and cant take orders. the host said if were paying cash we can pay. we sat for 20 minutes and then the server said they cant serve us and that the host never said we can pay cash. i understand that things happen but there was a bunch of miscommunication between the servers and host.

Definitely a good choice for drinks and bites close to the Port Authority. The atmosphere felt elevated but still relaxed, with great rooftop views and a good mix of after-work and night-out energy. We ordered martinis, IPAs, artichoke spinach dip, burgers and chicken skewers. The burgers were especially solid and the cocktails were strong and well made (even after one dirty glass mishap that they quickly corrected without issue). Service was friendly and attentive throughout the night with lots of different servers stopping by. We missed happy hour by a few minutes but next time we won’t!

I booked a reservation at Castell Terrace for 6:15 PM on a Thursday. I wanted to get a few of my former co-workers together one last time before I moved out of the city. It wasn’t overly crowded, so we were able to sit outside. The staff were incredibly friendly, as they brought over 3 glasses of comped Cava to celebrate. My coworkers remarked several times about what a gem the space was! It was a great find in the heart of Midtown with a perfect view of the skyline and Empire State Building.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Castell Rooftop, and the overall experience was very positive. If you’re looking for a classy spot for a special occasion, this is it. The Ambiance: The venue is incredibly elegant yet cozy. One of the things I appreciated most was the music kept at a perfect volume, allowing for comfortable conversation without having to shout. The staff provided impeccable service from start to finish. They were very attentive and even surprised me with a complimentary dessert for my birthday a thoughtful gesture that I truly appreciated. Areas for Improvement: Value for Money: While the vibe is high-end, I felt that both the cocktails and the food didn't quite live up to their price point. They weren't bad, but for the cost, I expected a more standout or elevated culinary experience. Would I go back? Yes. The atmosphere and hospitality are second to none. I hope that on my next visit, the mixology and flavors catch up to the excellent service they provide. Thanks for a lovely birthday celebration!
