Bastion is the 24-seat restaurant of James Beard Foundation Award Nominee Chef Josh Habiger. It is located in a separate area within the casual cocktail bar of the same name, and it is a part of Nashville's Wedgewood Houston neighborhood. In November 2025, Bastion was awarded a MICHELIN Star.
Bastion's dining room features counter seating around the kitchen for parties of 2 as well as three tables for parties of 3 to 6. Bastion's small team serves a weekly set menu of six dinner courses featuring many dishes with a wide variety of flavors, ingredients, and inspirations. Friendly service guides you through the culinary experience, which also features wine pairings, creative cocktails, and a curated vinyl soundtrack. Come early or stay late in the hidden Little Bar, which is a private offering for guests of the restaurant.

Brian, a California native, honed his skills under chefs like Charlie Palmer and Jose Andres. After roles at Husk and Trois Mec, he returned to Nashville with Strategic Hospitality. Leina, from a restaurant family, shifted from pre-med to working at renowned eateries like Red Medicine and Bastion. Kisser marks their first venture together. In November 2025, Kisser was awarded a MICHELIN Bibb Gourmand.

Join Chefs Tiffani Ortiz and Andy Doubrava for an innovative, playful, and seasonal multi-course tasting menu rooted in bold creativity. Thoughtfully curated alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage pairings, along with cocktails and wine, are available to order during your experience. Dinner is $195 per person plus beverages, gratuity, and tax.
Food allergies must be communicated to The Catbird Seat when making your reservation. We do accommodate vegetarian diets but require advance notice. We CANNOT accommodate vegan diets, mushroom allergies, or dairy allergies.

Reservations and walk-ins for full service are dine-in, inside the restaurant. The patio is for take-out only and is open seating. No reservation is needed for outside and dogs are welcome. Please let us know if you’re running behind, if you arrive more than 15 minutes past your reservation time, we will have to forfeit your table. Thank you for your understanding. If you have a soy allergy please let us know, the majority of our dishes contain soy.
We validate parking up to 2 hours. Please present your parking slip from the parking garage to validate it. Parking garage is located between Monroe Street and Taylor Street, the entrance can be found on both of those streets or 1315 Adams Street for google maps. There is also free street parking on Adams Street.

I appreciate the promptness of being able to get another seating. The spicy tuna crispy rice and the tempura mushrooms were both divine. My favorite flavor was definitely the yellowfin with charred banana peppers.
