A truly lovely find on our first trip to Ludlow. The outside area was lovely prior to our inside booked table. Great food and staff. We shall be back.

Dinner for two on 12 June 2026. A genuinely wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional — fresh toppings, generous portions, and dishes that felt carefully prepared and full of authentic flavour. That said, the pho noodles — the star of the menu — fell ever so slightly short. The broth, while pleasantly aromatic, lacked a little seasoning and that deep, lingering umami quality you'd hope for from a great bowl of pho. A touch more complexity in the base would elevate it from very good to truly memorable. It's a minor point, and one that's easily fixed, but worth noting for a dish that carries the restaurant's name. The service was outstanding. Staff were warm, attentive and full of helpful recommendations without ever feeling pushy. They made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. The ambience perfectly complemented the meal — relaxed and inviting, with a calm buzz that made the evening feel special without being formal. Pho Harborne is a real gem in the neighbourhood and we'll absolutely be back — hopefully to find that broth dialled up a notch.

We got a table upstairs which was much quieter. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered two starters instead of bothering with a main course. The absolute best was the Gruyère soufflé. The waitress told us that it had previously been removed from the menu but was reinstated following complaints from regulars. Try it! Absolutely gorgeous. We both had the warm salad - that was very tasty. I’ll be back - for the soufflé!
