Built circa 1820 as a grist mill, The Old Mill Inn is a newly-renovated historic, waterfront, adults-only (18 years+) bar and restaurant on Mattituck Creek, located on the North Fork of Long Island. It serves classic American fare with a fresh local twist such as fish & chips, crispy squid, oysters, cheese burgers, and seasonal local vegetables.The past and the present collide inside the historic bar room (serving seasonal craft cocktails, wine and beer-on-tap) where the mill's original gear shaft stands among the wooden ceiling beams signed by past patrons, dating back to the late 1800s. The new owner received the award for Historical Renovation of the Year from the Long Island Preservation Society in 2024.

    We came for a special trivia being hosted here and I am so glad we made the drive ! It was such a cute restaurant on the water, plenty of parking, lots of outside seating and the food was fantastic ! I had the crab cake sandwich, and the other guest had the buffalo chicken wrap. The food came out fast but hot and seemed very fresh ! I was very impressed. Our waitress was super nice and attentive (receipt says Olivia Michelle B). I had a great time here and I was already telling my friends we have to go back because I liked it so much ! Highly recommend Dockside !

    The food and service at Fresh Salt is consistent and always 5 star! Besides a beautiful setting by the water, the service never feels rushed and they are attentive without hovering. They just seem to know when to show up to either refresh drinks or make sure our meals are to our liking. This has to be my favorite shoreline restaurant!

    The venue, food, service, was all excellent. We’ll be regulars as we had a really great afternoon at the Boca Oyster Bar.

    Just a perfect night made reservations for 7pm. We caught the sunset which added to our evening. The food was delicious, and our server was friendly.
