Freya is a prix fixe and tasting menu restaurant on East Grand Boulevard in Detroit. Our vegetables are grown and harvested in and around the city from independent farmers, seafood is ultra-fresh, sourdough bread, pasta, and everything else is homemade with care and love. Selden Standard’s fare features flavors born in local farms, captured at the peak of the season, prepared in their wood-fired oven, and served small plates-style in shareable portions. Complementing the menu are wines from small producers, distinctive brews, and cocktails to suit the seasons. Selden is rustic and casual, but with an ever-present eye for quality, creativity, and fun. Chef Andy Hollyday is a 2023 James Beard Foundation finalist and four-time semi-finalist. Selden Standard was also twice named a James Beard semi-finalist for Outstanding Restaurant (2024, 2025), and has been named Restaurant of the Year by both the Detroit Free Press (2015) and Hour Detroit (2016).

    From start to finish, our dinner at Freya was lovely! It felt the the most inclusive restaurant experience we have ever had, with so many V, VG and N/A options and the totally fun invitation to select from the large vinyl menu. Staff were attentive and so friendly - we felt very welcomed. Food was creative, beautiful to look at and delicious to taste. Thank you, team!

    I had such a wonderful experience at Vine Restaurant in West Bloomfield! The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, the service was great, and the drinks were amazing. Their happy hour menu was also really nice, with great options to enjoy. Everything about the experience made for a lovely time, and I truly enjoyed myself. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy good drinks, and soak in a beautiful atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Vine Restaurant and look forward to visiting again
