Exceptional gastropub. Loved the pickled vegs. The octopus starter had a sauce that had such depth of flavor. I had the satisfying lamb shank which was ample enough 2-3 meals. My dining partner shared his burger,also exceptional. The back terrace is lovely and despite it being nearly full,quiet enough for a conversation. We enjoyed Belgian beer on draft. This place is a gem in Rockridge. We’ll be back.

We celebrated my husband's birthday recently at Hideout Kitchen. There were 6 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks. Our server, Daniel, was so friendly, efficient and attentive. Kudos to him! We enjoyed cocktails, and two delicious appetizers for the table...hummus with extra pita bread and meatballs. We also brought wine and loved the steak, pasta, fried chicken and salmon. All the food was extremely fresh and cooked to perfection. Sitting outside under the rooftop was magical. We will definitely return!
