Fabulous! Started with a spring Sarti cocktail which was delicious. My starter was asparagus with buerre sauce, again delicious, followed by pork belly with lovely roasties and yorkshires, washed down with really good NZ Sauvignon blanc. Really enjoyed my lunch.

I was here for Sunday lunch during a 10 mile walk. The lunch is always the most anticipated part of a long walk for me and The Crown Inn did not disappoint. My roast was absolutely delicious and the service was lovely! I’ve shared pics and recommended it to friends already!

Fabulous 5 course tasting menu with great choices for each course. The food was absolutely superb. Wonderful flavour combinations with exceptional quality produce. Service was excellent throughout the hotel and included the restaurant. Respectful, attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend a wonderful experience.

Lovely venue and very helpful staff. We had a cream tea for 2 with a glass of sparkling local wine (which we didn’t get!) Personally I don’t think I would pay that amount again for what we got, the salmon on a small roll was inedible and the sandwiches were literally a 1/4 of a piece of bread with filling each. The scone wasn’t particularly fresh and the cake offerings were tiny. The breakfast tea was lovely, and the service fabulous. So all in all don’t bother with the afternoon teas over priced, just not worth it. But service lovely so go and try the hotel, Spa and main meals.
