The Grant House is a historic house in a park like setting overlooking Fort Vancouver. It has been home to a restaurant for over 20 years and is currently home to Willful Wine. Founded in 2000, owner/winemaker Pam Walden currently produces around 6000 cases annually of crisp whites and Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley and bold reds from Walla Walla.Our restaurant offers our hand crafted wines by the flight, glass or bottle as well as a full bar and full food menu that is offered from open to close. Abigail Hall pays homage to femininity and history through comfortable yet beautiful 40-seat living room style bar. Located in the original Ladies Reception Hall of the former Cornelius Hotel of 1908, we like to believe it was once where the suffragettes of Abigail Scott Duniway’s (our bar’s namesake) time convened.Design features include a fireplace, a reproduction of the penny-tile floors and green wainscot walls from 1911 and a mix of lush materials and colors including pink and deep maroon leather banquettes and fabrics. The walls are hand-painted mural by local Portland artist Michael Paulus. We will always find ways to honor to the many women who continue to inspire us through our offerings, but of course Abby welcomes ALL into our space. We can’t wait to have you in for an Abby burger + one of our famous classic martinis soon!

    Limited menu, and a little pricey, but the atmosphere, service, and relaxed feel are worth going. The food is good, drinks are OK, but the server we had was fantastic as usual. They make you feel at home and don't rush you.

    Spectacular birthday dinner with wonderful service from Tyler and his colleagues. If I could give more than 5 stars for service, I would do so. BTW, the baked spinach is savory and delicious!

    The Fireside was a wonderful evening getaway for our family. From the service to the ambiance & warm comfy atmosphere to our delicious meals! Its really a wonderful Portland gem! The brussel sprouts are to die for!

    It's a great place for dates and small groups. Lots of views and a fireplace inside. The halibut and fish and chips were delicious. The Brownie dessert was wonderful. I was not a big fan of the brussel sprout appetizer.

    The food was great. The wine was even better. Service was really good as well. We went on a Sunday evening and it was very quiet in there but it’s exactly what my wife and I wanted for our anniversary dinner. We will be back for sure.
