MEAT is a locally owned smokehouse in the heart of Old Strathcona, serving authentic Texas-style BBQ built on quality meats, savoury sides, homemade sauces, and a casual, welcoming room to settle in. Brisket, beer, and bourbon - keeping it simple and doing it well. Our brisket starts with Benchmark Angus beef, a family-run Alberta ranch that’s been raising free-range, humanely treated, and hormone-free cattle for nearly 100 years. From there, it spends hours in our Ole Hickory smoker, fired up nearly 24/7, taking on rich cherry and hickory smoke alongside ribs, pork, chicken, and sausage. Behind the bar, you’ll find a thoughtfully curated bourbon and whisky list, from trusted favourites to harder-to-find bottles. We keep things straightforward: grab a seat at our long communal tables, order meats by the pound, sides by the size, and dig in. BBQ is meant to be shared.

    Had a Overly lunch. This restaurant was lovely open and bright Noise level was great and our waitress was amazing Lunch was outstanding, cheese burger with truffle fries, roasted beet salad and a very delicious clam chowder was enjoyed by our group

    Excellent service by Aiden. Very tasty cocktails and fantastic pizza. Very knowledgeable with allergy concerns. Safe for celiacs. Will 100% go back again.

    As always the staff was most welcoming! Gaby greeted us at the door and we were served by Sydney who is a pure pleasure! The table next to us lost their home tragically to a fire and the crew Sydney and Mitch, the manager, comped the bill for them!! Amazing gesture

    First time at CBH in Leduc. Excellent service from Sage. We didn’t have to wait or ask for anything. She even split our entree for us without having to ask.
