Mother India’s Café serves tapas-style Indian food at 3-5 Infirmary Street in Edinburgh’s Old Town – a first for the city. It is located only 10 minutes' walk from Waverley railway station and is conveniently close to the famous Royal Mile. The interior is spacious, tastefully decorated and lively. The food, a modern take on traditional Indian cuisine, is tailored to the Scottish palate and the use of spices is delicate. Mother India’s Café's menu includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies and there are items that can be ordered for a sumptuous brunch. Posto davvero molto accogliente e molto italiano..di solito all’estero hanno solo la tabella con scritto ristorante italiano, ma qui siamo rimasti davvero sorpresi..cibo buonissimo e camerieri davvero davvero gentilissimi e simpatici! In bocca al lupo per tutto!

Bellissimo roof con vista sulla città. Ambiente caldo, elegante e confortevole. Personale gentilissimo ed accogliente pronto a soddisfare le richieste della clientela. Ottima selezione di champagne e gin (davvero notevole) con molta scelta di piatti sia da condividere che da assaggio. Molto buone le ostriche e la degustazione di formaggi. Assolutamente consigliato per un aperitivo in relax assoluto.

Understory is a subterranean cocktail bar and kitchen in central Edinburgh. Set in a stone-vaulted room below street level, it opens in 2026 under a new team.The drinks are built from ingredients made in-house: shrubs, cordials, ferments and infusions produced in our own lab, then served cold, dry and unfussed. The list changes in batches rather than seasons. The kitchen runs a short menu of small plates designed for sharing across a long evening, alongside bar snacks and soft serve.Open seven days. Walk-ins welcome; booking advised Thursday to Saturday. The vaults are also available for private hire.
