Captain Kidd Restaurant and Bar is an upscale and welcoming establishment that specializes in fresh seafood and American inspired dishes. As a landmark in the Woods Hole community for 100+ years, we relish in the tales of a tavern from our past, while adding a more modern take on dining. The interior is expansive and warmly decorated, offering guests unobstructed views of the water. Our outdoor seating consists of a lovely shaded patio, and two piers that jut out over Eel Pond. Captain Kidd Restaurant is good for families, groups and special occasions. Whet your appetite with a starter and get a cup of Chef Frank Belfiore's famous New England clam chowder, or our hand-breaded chicken tenders! Feel like sharing? The steamed mussels finished in a Posillipo sauce and the fried calamari are an absolute must.     Everything was delicious. Our server was very knowledgeable and allowed me to make a couple substitutions for my diet considerations. There is a small up charge but worth it to have the perfect meal.

    The experience was much better than we anticipated given the just a little above average rating that we had seen for it. Both the food and service were excellent.

    This was not a dinner off of the routine menu. It was a pasta buffet dinner prior to the Cape Cod Marathon, offered to the runners. It was perfect for the occasion. The food was solid, with a salad, a selection of pastas and sauces and lovely dessert. Will do it again next year if it’s available!
