One of the best meals we have had in our 25 years of dining together. We tried the Omaske and each dish was savory and delectable. Many ingredients are locally sourced and perfectly paired. I would put this destination on par with Ella & the Kitchen as a top restaurant in the Sacramento region. Thank you Omakase for the experience and flavors we will not soon forget.

This is a favorite of our family (1 female millennial, 1 female senior, and 1 male four-year-old). The service is always good - polite servers who watch to see empty dishes and water glasses. The fish is always very fresh and the rolls are a good combination of items and sauces. We enjoy starting with the spicy garlic edamame.

Our first time dining at Kiku. Brought a friend who was visiting during lunchtime. We were very impressed with the vast menu. I had a veggie roll and my husband and our friend ordered the bento boxes. Everything tasted great! Food was fresh and full of flavor. We will definitely return again when we’re in the mood for Japanese food! The reason I scored our visit a 4 instead of 5 star rating was the service. When my friend first arrived, he told them that we had 12:00 reservations for 3 people. I had made the reservation over a week ago but they had no record of the reservation. No big deal because there were plenty of seats! The waiter was efficient, but not friendly at all. And he didn’t return after bringing our meals to check if we needed anything….we would have liked more hot tea. But overall, glad we dined at Kiku. Maybe next time we’ll dine during dinner.
