Immigrating to the U.S. at age five, Joey learned to cook at his mother’s side, mastering recipes passed down through generations. In 1984, at just 16, he and “Momma Capri” opened the original Capri in suburban Illinois—earning a devoted following with generous portions and exceptional wines. Today, Joey continues to honor his roots with every dish, guided by his motto: “TO EAT WELL IS TO LIVE WELL.”
