Excellent food, friendly and attentive staff, not too noisy even for a small, cozy inside seating area. This was my 4th visit & will be back. Reasonable pricing for a restaurant of this quality; less than $100 per person including gratuity & we had every course except dessert.

We had a wonderful lunch today at Naschmarkt Pleasanton and couldn’t be more pleased with the service, food, cocktails and easy parking. Rene did a terrific job of making us feel welcome and provided attentive, but not pushy service. He also had taken note that it was our 61st anniversary and comped the dessert. We started our meal with delicious crispy fried spring rolls that were stuffed with Brie and vegetables and had a perfect apricot sauce on the side. We both opted for the veal schnitzel, since it’s hard to find in the Bay Area. It didn’t disappoint. The breaded coating was golden brown and just the right thickness. The veal was tender and moist and brought back memories of travel in Europe. The cutlets were accompanied by a tasty Austrian-style potato salad. For dessert, we had the Schoko Kuchen…a liquid center chocolate cake, served with vanilla ice cream..which was a perfect end to a very enjoyable lunch. Also of note, all of the portions were generous. My wife joins me in these comments and agrees that we’ll be back.

What a hidden gem in plain sight. A must for any visitor to San Jose.

Return visit. New wait staff, inprovement over prior. Better communication- fluent in English. Some new menue items. We shared the mushroom flatbread- excellent. Also the potato pancakes, as good as before.Also the strudel with ice cream for desert. One order of each which we shared- some flat bread to take home. And ice tea All for under $50.00 Will be back
