The Britannia is Richmonds leading independent restaurant and bar. Located in the centre of town and down a very pretty cobbled alleyway, we are next to historic Richmond Green and two minutes from the Waterside.We have two large outside spaces - A roof terrace for traditional dining and a garden that lends itself to drinks and lighter fare. The bar inside is cosy with the bustle of a busy space and the upstairs restaurant tables have white cloths and lamps for a more intimate feel.Serving Day Boat Fish and Chips to grilled Lobster, Vegan and Vegetarian dishes along with award winning Mackens of Chiswick Steaks, simply the finest food in the area. Our Wine list has more than a nod to the old world, showing not only the best of Burgundy and Bordeaux but also more eclectic boutique wines from Italy, Spain and even the USA.We pride ourselves on our cocktails. We are very proud of our historic location, hence naming the restaurant after the year the world-famous Brooklands racetrack was built and opened. The restaurant interior reflects the area’s heritage with a 1920s and 30s inspired décor and when combined with modern service delivery as well as award winning food, we provide a contemporary dining experience for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. We have been award two AA rosettes for the past seven years.

An enjoyable evening was had by my daughter and myself. The service was faultless from both members of staff who served us. They were engaging, professional and helpful without being intrusive. The food and wine was excellent. The table was great and further enhanced by the live music, piano and song which was most enjoyable without drowning out conversation. Would certainly return and recommend to others.

Wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our pre dinner drink in the bar, We then had the chateaubriand with a lovely bottle of great red wine all followed by dessert cocktails! Excellent service so overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
