Open since October of 1990, The Dakota has been a pioneer in the culinary industry on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. River Saint is an inviting new restaurant and inn housed in the historic 1834 Annadele’s Plantation mansion. Helmed by renowned chef Pat Gallagher, the venue features multiple cozy dining rooms and double bars. Steeped in local history, the property sits near the Bogue Falaya River on land that once served as an 1800s summer home for New Orleans Mayor Walter C. Flower. The menu shines with classic regional flavors, offering starters like crispy Oysters River Saint and Eggplant Bogue-Falaya, rich Creole turtle soup, and traditional seafood and andouille gumbo.
