I had a lovely catch up with a dear friend. We stayed longer than expected but we didn't feel as though we had overstayed our welcome. The cake & coffee were delicious.

Lovely ambiance in the bar area, because of the decor. A little chilly by the windows but that’s to be expected in an older building. Waitresses were friendly and welcoming. Good was tasty, and as we were three girls with so much to talk about, we weren’t hurried. Nice evening.

Taste menu is creative and all rounded Fries are excellent Service is friendly

We had a lovely roast dinner at the Gonville Hotel. The beef was incredibly tender and came with a generous Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and vegetables. We started with garlic prawns and finished with a sensational pear, honey and almond tart with pistachio ice cream. The set lunch was good value for money and the complimentary glass of wine was a welcome bonus. A very enjoyable meal and somewhere we’d happily return to.

The service was great and this is one of the few places I’ve been there the staff have been very attentive, accommodating and didn’t simply drop the food off and forget about us. They insured we were taken very good care of through the entire experience. We enjoyed each entree and the drinks were great. Probably the best margarita I’ve had since coming to the UK as an American. Should definitely try it out and a bit thank you to Henrique, the other gentlemen, and the manager!
