   We go to Veranda frequently as we really like the ambiance and enjoy the entertainment. The food is usually quite good, although it has gotten quite expensive. I’ve had their lamb ‘lollipops’ a few times and they were always excellent. This time they were disappointing. Even after I sent them back the first time (I had asked for medium rare, and they came medium well), when they brought me the new ones, they were also overcooked in addition to being thinner than usual and quite fatty. So, more expensive and lower quality. My husband’s food was fine, though our guest felt her salmon was undercooked. The service and entertainment was as good as always.

   Absolutely stunning view, great ambiance, and very romantic. Food was smaller portions, and just ok with seasoning and flavor - but the location and scenery made it worthwhile.

   We enjoyed our lunch. We brought out of town visitors. I had trouble choosing a bottle of Chardonnay. The options were not familiar to us. Our friends recognized one name, Our server, Sara, was very accommodating and brought samples of two Chardonnays. The wine was OK but the prices were pretty high for wine I could not identify. I most likely would have paid the price for Rombauer or even a much less expensive everyday grocery brand if buttery. Maybe you should have a house wine in all categories. Then if I do not care for it at least I am not paying $13 or more for a glass. Just a thought. The food was. Wry good as was the service and the atmosphere. We were bothered quite a bit by bees. They were unrelenting!

    We were delighted to celebrate 2 birthday lunches at this lovely spot on a cold and blustery San Diego day. Ryan, our server was professional and very personable and informative regarding the menu. We had a wonderful lunch ( oh that seared salmon!) We look forward to return soon for another visit.

    We used to love dining here but we find recently that the quality of the food is not what it used to be, prices are inflated. Not a good value. We did have an excellent server!

    We enjoyed our 38th anniversary dinner out side. We were by a fire pit and the servers tried three different heat lamps until one worked. Chyenne was wonderful .The guitar player was special. and fun night for sure.

    My husband and I enjoyed our Valentine’s Day dinner at the Veranda. Original reservation was for outdoors near outdoor fireplace. It had been raining, so all outdoor reservations were moved inside. Still a very enjoyable evening. Service was excellent. Always there when you need them, but they don’t hover. Quick service, but we didn’t feel rushed at all. Staff were very friendly from the moment we walked in. We will be back.

    Birthday. Moved us inside due to weather and gave away our table cuz someone couldn’t attend due to mother’s death. So they gave us a VERY SMALL table that didn’t even hold all our place settings.

    The all outside atmosphere is lovely and they had an abundance of heaters so the temperature was not an issue. The food was delicious and the service very good. My only complaint is with the menu and it's prices. I realize that they are trying to give several options, flat bread, salads, burgers and main entrees but it is still very limiting. I would like to see a few more entrees offered and a few more sandwich type items. The menu is definitely over priced for the casualness of the restaurant. Two dinners and 1 salad and 3 drinks was $150 dollars, without tip!!

    We have eaten here a number of times and it is a lovely setting. This time we were surprised at how high the food prices were. Overall I would probably come back again but it's pretty pricey for what you get for lunch items.

    A lovely location on the golf course at the Rancho Bernardo Inn gives the Veranda that extra-special feel. Lunch menu has a good variety of salads, entrees, flatbreads, appetizers, though it is a bit pricey (as most things are these days). The hostess is very helpful and pleasant, our server was too, however, ordering and receiving our food was slow (staff shortage?). Will definitely be back, even though....

    Went to eat on a cold night but the heaters worked really well and we didn’t even feel cold during our meal. The staff was super kind and our server went above and beyond! I can not stress this enough but you have to order the bread pudding for dessert, this was amazing and I wish I wasn’t as full near the end so I could eat more of the pudding.

    Once again an absolutely lovely holiday lunch at the Veranda! Natanya does a superb job as host and Lewis is a world class server. View is gorgeous and food is delicious. The only negative is that the Rancho Bernardo Inn has been raising their prices for everything, really out of line, and so I would have to say that this casual restaurant which also used to be a decent value is not that anymore.

    We were disappointed in the experience we had. First off, we had lunch at the RB Inn Veranda the week before our event just to make sure they would have the nice bread service we had at Thanksgiving. We were told that was a holiday and they would have plenty of fresh bread loafs. To our surprise bread service would not be ready until 4:00 and it was 3:00. Then we were told we could not order off the menu after 3:00, because they were only offering small y things from the bar. We had two in our party who do not eat meat and wanted to order something else. We had to text our party on their way over and ask them what they wanted us to order. We only had 5 minutes to order. Needless to say, lots of complaints from the family. It was not mentioned on the menu that it would change at 3:00. No bread service was a real disappointment. Prime rib was good , but very thin, lots of fat on it. For 70$ each was expecting more. We had a great lunch for Thanksgiving, but may have to change our celebrations to a different location.

    We had a wonderful time, especially enjoyed the view and the fact that I could bring my dog. Only negatives were 1) when we asked for bread to accompany our salad and soup, the waiter said that they had no bread or rolls to provide us and 2) a 6% surcharge tacked onto the bill - something about a resort fee??
