We had a simply wonderful special dinner at the Inn. Everything was perfect and delicious. We are bery snooty food snobs and this was one of the most delicious and delightful dining experiences in our 35 years together.
Special thanks to our attentive and adorable server, Addison!

We had three different entrees--all three were were superb. And the desserts were exceptional.
The food was amazing and the service was outstanding

We have been to the Erlowest several times. This time was not good. The menu was very limited. Two in ouir party had the short ribs - they were dry, the Broccolini hard, not el dente. I had rack of lamb which was excellent and another had the cod which he said was okay.
May be a new chief this year? I will have to think twice about going back.
Please accept our apologies for your recent experience at Erlowest. We should have noticed your issues and addressed them immediately at the table to your satisfaction. We are going through a restaurant transition that we are very excited about starting with our new restaurant manager Aziz Danguir who comes to us from Boston. We are equally excited about an upcoming change in our kitchen! I would like to invite you back to Erlowest to show you our real capabilities. Frank Dittrich, GM
Past dining experiences have been outstanding, but this year's visit was disappointing. Food was mediocre at best. Menu items seem to be an attempt to be "too different".
We are very sorry that we let you down during your recent visit with us. Please call the Inn and ask to speak to me so I can better understand your experience and work to improve the situation. Thank you and with regards, Frank Dittrich, GM The Inn at Erlowest
When we arrived table was ready and unoccupied but were told we had to wait 10 minutes. Menu was limited and reflected increased prices due to summer season . Portion size very small and food not exceptional. Disappointed
The view and the ambiance was wonderful. I had the short ribs and they were too dry and either the short ribs or what was on top of them was extremely salty. Expensive meal that I did not fully enjoy.
Food was ok - service was ok- The clientele consisted of mostly materialistic, shallow and intellectually low- functioning Trumpers
My meal was pretty good overall. But one plank of eggplant with some pickled cherries and avocado that was SO completely underripe I thought plastic fell into my meal, I can’t remember if it was $28 or $38 but steep for VERY little food.
Whoever thought putting rick hard avocado in should be kicked out of the kitchen. You could seriously break a tooth on it.
Nice server. Beautiful atmosphere.
We had a wonderful dinner, food was clearly made by an excellent chef, service was top notch, our outside table had an amazing view of lake George. Every course was something special. We will return
Thank you for choosing The Inn at Erlowest. We are very happy that you enjoyed your experience and we hope that you will be able to come back soon. Frank Dittrich, GM The Inn at Erlowest
What a wonderful place! Our room was perfect and extremely clean. The bed was comfy and there were plenty of pillows. The overall feel was very warm and and there is a balcony upstairs that you can sit on and take in the lake views.
We had dinner reservations in the dining room and luckily decided to go down early for a drink in the bar. The bartender (sorry I don’t remember his name) was a great conversationalist and really seemed to enjoy chatting with everyone. He was really knowledgeable about Lake George and gave us some great recommendations.
Dinner was perfect! We sat outside on the terrace and the views were beautiful. The menu was somewhat limited and being a picky eater I didn’t see anything that was fitting for me. I told our waitress Jillian and she worked with me to put together a dish that was wonderful. Jillian was also very, very personable and spent a good amount of time at our table chatting. She, like our bartender, made our experience feel more like we were visiting friends than staying at a hotel.
This is a great place to relax and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

We hope you will be able to come back and visit with us. Frank Dittrich, GM The Inn at Erlowest
Restaurant had a limited menu but everything was well prepared and very tasty. Setting lovely.
Thank you for dining with us! Chef's approach to the menu is to focus on a shorter menu with unique combinations and special preparation. We hope you will be able to come back soon! Frank Dittrich, GM The Inn at Erlowest
We ate outside on the patio overlooking the lake. Everything was fantastic - food, drink, service and view.

Great views outside, great service and prices are reasonsble and compatible with The Sagamore Restaurants
Stunning location, wonderful service, amazing food and great signature cocktails.
We were married here one month ago and came back for our one month anniversary! Always outstanding food and the staff and people are the best. Highly recommend.
Beside sharing your wedding date with us, it is amazing to be a part of your anniversary celebration! Thank you for coming back to see us! Frank Dittrich, GM The Inn at Erlowest
Overall from start to finish we had a wonderful experience. Our server Molly was a true professional. Personality and was well versed in the menu. The menu is small but each item that is on it is perfected and absolutely delicious. I had the short rib entree and it was melt in your mouth. The ambience, decor and history of the inn is awesome. Would go back and absolutely recommend to try if you’re in Lake George.
Restaurant needs the small touches to help make it more cozy and elegant, especially for the prices you pay.
We made reservations at Erlowest when friends were visiting from Pennsylvania. When we arrived there was no place to park and no one to help us. As we entered the Inn and were asked our name I got the feeling that our reservation had not been recorded, eventually we when led into the back dining room. The air conditioning vent was blowing on our guest. It took several minutes for the situation to be rectified. As we where looking over the menu, we could hear the kitchen calling out messages to one another. THEN a young couple came into the dining room with an infant who proceeded to start howling. The waitress moved us into the front dining room, understanding our displeasure.
The final problem was the rest room that had not been tendered to in some time. Fortunately, everyone enjoyed the food. I was very disappointed in our evening at what have should have been fine dining.
We are very sorry that your dining experience was disrupted in so many ways. I am at a loss to explain the circumstances that could cause the number of issues that you faced. Since your experience is not a typical experience, I would hope that you would be able to allow us a second chance to demonstrate what a delight a dining experience can be at Erlowest. Frank Dittrich, GM The Inn at Erlowest
Excellent food and service, great location, quiet and exclusive, highly recommended!
Excellent venue. Beautiful place to eat. Food was amazing. Make sure to enjoy a coffee by the fireplace at night.
We were excited to eat The Inn at Erlowest. The views are spectacular (while outside on the patio and veranda). They had a small wedding reception going on in most of the restaurant area the night we dines, and I wish we had known how much it was going to impact our experience before we sat down to eat. We arrived ahead of the 7:00 time of our reservation on June 30, and were told to to wait at the bar under the stairs. We did that, and after about 30 minutes passed, I approached the host to inquire about our table (now 7:20 PM). I was asked if we would like to sit inside or outside, and we chose inside, as it was warm and we didn't want bugs interfering with our meal. What we didn't know was that the wedding party was just beyond the sliding door where we were seated to eat, and we would hear the drunken carousing of the entire party next door, as well as the very loud music that they were playing and singing along to. I am by no means saying they should not host large parties, but they should not have accepted our reservation, to then treat us as a secondary concern. I would not suggest eating here and would not do so myself again.
Food and atmosphere was amazing, would definitely recommend!
We always enjoy our dinners at Erlowest. The food and ambiance and service are all great in a lovingly restored nineteenth-century "castle."
Great location, view and ambience. Short but varied menu. Above average wine list. Every dish had its own character. Will return.
We enjoyed our dinner here.
We have been fine dining every night on our vacation and this was very good.
The sweet pea bisque was phenomenal.
The scallops were delicious.
The pork chop was served in a unique way, not your typical applesauce and baked breaded pork chop. It was good. It was a little dry. I prefer my porkchop with the traditional applesauce, breaded and moist.
The Erlowest is a gorgeous and graceful structure. Our restaurant experience was excellent. Food outstanding and as well as service (Samantha).
From start to finish an outstanding dining experience with an excellent price point. The special tastings and taste balance is top notch. I wanted to swim in the tapenade:) We will definitely dien here wnenever in Lake George. Thank you for a delightful evening.
Everything about the Inn at Erlowest was top shelf. The staff was very friendly, looking out for our every need. The atmosphere and food were both wonderful. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked a follow-up trip for the fall.
This is a wonderful place to enjoy an elegant gourmet dinner! Service was wonderful as well!!
The ballroom, although not original is on point with the main house. The room was set so that tables were not one on top of the other, allowing for a more private feel. Our service was excellent and the food was very good.
Amazing dinner. It was our 4th wedding anniversary and they did made the most amazing dinner for us.food was great and service was impeccable.thank you
Two of our party had seafood and it was quite overdone, like bouncy. The pork chop, on the other hand, was perfectly done and delicious.
Hostess was well knowledgeable of the place and extremely pleasant
My wifw and I have enjoyed the Inn. We first became acquainted on our honey moon and have returned several times celebrating our anniversary.
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and every last thing we ate was delicious. Impeccable dining experience experience.
When you arrive you are greeted by friendly staff and seated at a comfortable table, all with a view of a warm fire. Beautiful rooms and an amazing menu that makes it difficult to make your selections. The service is professional and friendly. We happened to be staying at the Inn when we dined but we will make the trip just for dinner. My wife and I strongly recommend this restaurant.
Thank you very much for the opportunity to take care of you and your wife during your stay with us at The Inn at Erlowest. We are very happy that you enjoyed both the room and dining experience. We hope that you will be able to come back soon to see us again! Frank Dittrich, GM The Inn at Erlowest
We enjoyed two very good dinners. Our second was the best, particularly the duck but our first dinner was still quite good.
