The Chateau on the Lake was the perfect spot for a birthday celebration. The lakeside setting is stunning we started the evening by the fire pit with cocktails (the cedar smoked old fashioned was excellent) before being seated for dinner. We ordered roasted duck and ravioli pasta which were great.

Great food great experience and would dine again. Thank you for having us. The sea bass and Caesar salad was excellent.

A busy night at the Chateau! Our servers Andrea and Paige were a huge part in making our entire experience memorable. They are great ambassadors for the restaurant.

Such a quaint lakeside retreat! Many options for varying palates. The Summer on the Lake and Pear Martini drinks were a delicious start to our meal. Shrimp cocktail and the bread service were tastefully prepared and just enough. The chefs cut with truffled mashed potatoes and asparagus were perfectly cooked and delicious. To end our stay, the flourless chocolate torte and lemon marscapone cake were fabulous. Kim our server was very good- informative but not pushy. It was a lovely experience.

My wife and I went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Everything was great from the Food to the service and spots to take pictures on the lake.

My husband and I have been coming to The Chateau for five years. We loved visiting for special occasions and bringing family and friends visiting us in Bolton. Sadly some time last summer we felt the food was not as good as prior years. We didn’t return. We came back Memorial Day 2026 thinking the place is do beautiful and it was a beautiful day to sit outside by the lake. Unfortunately my pear martini was off ( my favorite in prior years) . My halibut was chewy ( did not finish it) and it was on top of a small scoop of mushy mashed potatoes. When we asked for bread we were told it only comes as a paid appetizer. I’m pretty sure we always got bread and a very delicious butter before our meals in the past. I hope they figure it out. The location is lovely but the prices for tge meal we got was not worth it.

We had a very nice birthday dinner for my husband here. We were a party of 6 and they accommodated us as we wanted to sit inside. Food was very good as were the cocktails. Service was spot on. We have not been here in 5 years as we felt the food quality went down while the prices went up. We felt our recent dinner was redeeming. We will be back!
