From the greeting at the entrance to the dining area till our departure we were treated like visiting royalty, which we definitely are not. The food was phenomenal, not merely fussy and pretty, as it has been in some Michelin restaurants we have been privileged to visit. The sommelier was great and supplied excellent wines at reasonable prices. Everyone we encountered went well beyond the expected to make us feel welcome, and indeed more than welcome, but like a valued friend.

The restaurant is beyond gorgeous with amazing views of the garden, if you're sitting on the terrace. We had the tasting menu and the food was incredible! Overall, possibly one of the best parts of my trip to Florence!

Celebrating fiancee’s special birthday.
Excellent service. Had the best table with view in gardens and live piano. Food was very tasty and good portions. A lot of complimentary little treats to start and finish the dinner. As expected from a Michelin star restaurant, expensive but not exaggerated.

Superb. I know people usually frown on hotel restaurants but this one hit all the right notes. the waiter and sommelier were knowledgeable, friendly (I had two children with me) and the food was excellent. The staff seemed happy--they smiled and were outgoing and charming, a sure sign things are running properly. The risotto was delicious as was the various vegetarian amouse bouche. Every detail was right. For three of us with several courses and a 140 euro bottle of wine, the bill was only 350 euros. I was tempted to book the next night and sorry I didn't. Highly recommended for couples, families and people who value both fine dining and ambience.

The ambiance was great; however the entree, wild chicken was very mediocre. The pasta was marginal. Totally surprised that the food was not very good other than the deserts. Although I can’t conclusively say I got diarreah from here it is the only logical place. Many other restaurants significantly better than here.

Food, service and wine incredible as to be expected. The cacio e pepe was noteworthy!
We dined in the indoor part of the restaurant and we are both vegetarian.
The service was faultless but the food was very plain for us, nothing stood out or felt special. We have enjoyed the rest of our dinners in Florence so much more so personally I wouldn’t recommend this place for the food.
Perhaps in the summer when you can sit out in the terrace it may be slightly better because of the ambience but I’d still recommend a drink rather than a meal

Outstanding food, and completely fabulous service. Particular mentions for Pietro and Salvatore, who treated us like royalty and made the meal one to remember. Can not fault it!!

Gracious service - attentive but not intrusive, outstanding gourmet food, superb wine choices guided by a helpful sommelier and tasty surprises between courses. One could not imagine a more satisfying dining experience.
Visited for our anniversary dinner. The service was impeccable, and the tasting menu was very good. I loved the little details in between, like the excellent single-origin olive oil, the homemade caramelised onion bread, and the fresh mint tea which they cut from a live mint tree in front of you.

beautiful settings at Palagio restaurant, food was correct (tasting menu) but the service was very slow.

Friends had suggested we try IL Palagio for several months. We did and found it to be very worthy of its Michelin rating. A beautiful venue, in the Four Seasons Hotel, a restored Medici villa which has been maintained in a first rate fashion. Food was outstanding, wine list was huge, the chef was on site, and all the staff was very knowledgeable of the menu, wine list and the options. It is expensive, as one would expect with this level of service...Wine selections were carefully chosen with the help of a very helpful
sommelier and the cost was modest, by our own standards.
It is an experience, one should not miss while in Florence.
The food and service was excellent and it was a great experience for my young daughters.
The food was good but not great. For a Michelin star restaurant we expected to be wowed and we were not. It is clearly not worth the price point and we would have done far better by going to a local place with less pretension and better food.
This Michelin Star restaurant lives up to its billing as a phenomenal dining experience with classic Tuscan dishes alongside inventive insertions of international fare.
