The salmon tartare is incredible, the oysters are delightful, and the carrot cake w/ fig ice cream is delectable.
Everything we ate was fantastic especially the dinosaur salad.
awesome happy hour oysters!!! Everything was delicious.
My only complaint was the bourbon mule drink I ordered tasted like only soda. It was expensive $14 I wish I had sent it back
Great food, unique menu, charming place, great service
We met old friends at Crave Fishbar for lunch. This joint gets rave reviews. Why? It is nothing special. Our greeting was mirthless, she escorted us upstairs with neither a smile or comment. Our server was very pleasant, but was not very helpful with the menu. My lobster Caesar Salad was tasteless, and there was nothing Caesar about it. Fish sandwiches were bland, uninteresting and soggy.
My assumption is the the reviews for Crave Fishbar are composed by people who know little about food and enjoy the two bars at this restaurant. In addition, the decor is more Long John Silver than Le Bernardin. I picked Crave Fishbar based on the reviews. Now, I'm embarrassed.
It was nice to sit outside upstairs. No noise and perfect climate!
Great deal during happy hour , $1 oysters and the small bites menu is delicious . I’m never disappointed at this place one of my favorite places to go for seafood and their Bloody Mary is on point !!
Way too loud. Cannot hear anything. Not a good place for a date even though the food and drinks are excellent. The UWS location is better.
Great spot for choice cocktails and spirits, and some of the freshest seafood I've had in the city.
I enjoyed the barramundi but it felt very rich. Maybe a little gratuitous in spices and soy? It wasn’t bad just felt over seasoned.
Great food. Scallops were perfectly cooked and Kale salad was amazing! Good wine selection as well, I loved their Chablis. Mild and went well with seafood.
Love this place! Fabulous food, great service, casual setting. It’s a favorite of mine, especially in the warm weather.
Love, Love,Love, this place. Charlie, the GM made the experience amazing. Was so blown away that I made reservations to go back in a couple of days. It really is that good!
Great fish options as well as a few meat selections too!
Everything we had was delicious and very reasonable when we did the $40.00 complete meal.
Everyone was right....the cookie and ice cream were the perfect ending to a great meal!
The food was delicious. You can't go wrong with any fish. We didn't try the meat dishes. The oyster Happy Hour is a good deal, especially the $1 ones that we liked the best anyway. Desserts are a bit pricey but very good. The service was excellent.
The meal was delicious. Oysters were fresh, and the fish and squid ink spaghetti were both very well prepared. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent food, come here often. Services is usually just adequate though but it’s fine as the food makes up for it.
We had a wonderful time and food and service were all on point. Would love to return and appreciate the hospitality
We had a midweek lunch here that was quite good. The calamari was outstanding as was the salmon. The oysters were fresh and presented beautifully. They also had a lovely by-the-glass wine selection.
Love it! Excellent as usual.
Saturday night dinner: We shared the calamari for a starter and it was very good. Fresh, crispy coating, tasty. The spicy margaritas and the gin & tonics were both very weak and rather expensive, especially for a drink that barely had any alcohol... Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it's NYC so drinks are expensive, but those drinks were practically alcohol-free. For dinner, I had the summer tuna poke bowl and my date had the seared yellowfin tuna dinner. I wasn't crazy about the lemon cucumber dressing on my tuna. It wasn't "bright" or refreshing. It tasted muddled. The Mexican seasoning on the yellowfin was really tasty, but totally overwhelmed the fish. Crave Fishbar is a fun date spot. The service was great. The atmosphere is fun and casual. I would definitely go back and try other items on the menu, but we weren't crazy about 2/3 items we ordered on this night.
Outstanding! The yellow fin tuna perfect. The calamari was probably the best we ever had. Sat on the second floor balcony and it felt like we were in Paris though we were on second avenue. Go between 5 and 7 for the oyster and drinks happy hour
Based on other reviews we chose Crave from thousands of NY options - so pleased we did as it was the best meal of our lives!! Lobster curry, salmon, prawns and calamari were all incredible.
The calamari is outstanding!
Impossible to talk, noisy. Very costly considering the branzino was tiny, cost $35 and came with no sides other than inedible onions. This is a deterioration, it was better in the past.
I went there to celebrate a co-workers' belated birthday lunch. The waiter was very helpful in suggesting what was best and very knowledgeable about the menu. We can't wait to visit again. We also had no idea the place was big with two stories and outdoor eating area. Love it.
Oysters were very fresh - Salmon toastados were delicious and the Nashville Hot Catfish sandwich was excellent as well.
Looking forward to eating here again
Fabulous Food. Incredible Value, Top Level Service, led by Carlos. I could not ask for more.
Crave Fishbar is our neighbourhood restaurant, but we've not been there in a while. Our dinner over the weekend was superb - we booked on the early side 6:30 pm, sat outside, so it would be quieter, the service was great - our server very friendly and knowledgeable, food was outstanding as always: we had oysters (super fresh and tasty), miso bronzino (out of this world delicious), and crudo salmon (excellent light fare for a hot summer evening), followed by an assortment of homemade gelato and sorbet - great value for the money. Will definitely return soon.
The staff was excellent!! Very knowagaable and confident of a good product.
We had the Large Tower and it was all delightful except for the crab claws there were ok but good no the less.
A wonderful experience had by all!!!!
I went there with my wife for some happy hour bites and OYSTERS!!! The oysters were really fresh and tasted amazing. Definitely worth trying out. The salmon sashimi tostadas were really good as well.
Excellent during happy hour.
If you can get there for their happy hour, this is the best food for the money in New York City. They also have daily specials that are out of this world. It’s one of my top 10 places to eat in New York.
This is my go-to restaurant for oysters. I love this place.
Great bartenders friendly staff delicious food
Horrible. Food is overpriced and no good.
We went on my wife's birthday and weren't disappointed. Oysters were excellent and so were the appetizers and the Brooklyn pilsner beer.
I am a huge fan of this oyster bar! Every visit I am never disappointed. I let the server select my oysters from both and east coast. They are always knowledgeable. My favorite watermelon sangria is a nice collaboration to the seafood choices on menu. The BEST fish tacos I’ve ever had.
To end the meal we ordered the honey cake with honey ice cream. OMG! It’s the best oyster bar experience in NYC!
Oh and if it’s not too hot, choose outdoor dining for people watching. Always a celebrity or two strolling down the block!
Delicious food, amazing oysters, stupendous service. The lobster roll: outstanding!
