We had a great dinner with friends .
Will go back !
Always great! Love the Cioppino. Service is always great. 1/2 price wine on Sunday makes it certainly a good deal. Had lots of fun with friends in a relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely go there again!
Great service, but food was mediocre at best. No real flavor in anything other than heat in some items. Desert item was very good.
I took my wife to Passion Fish for her 33rd birthday. We had excellent service (thanks Rob) and a delicious meal. Everything was wonderful
This was our second time at PassionFish and the food and service did not disappoint. It is an up market restaurant so more expensive than average in the area, but well worth it for a special occasion. Service is always impeccable and is at the top of our restaurant list.
very nice lunch menu. good healthy options, excellent service.
Great meal!! Service was uneven at first and the manager more than took care of it. This is one of my favorite places!
Fish was fresh, well prepared and waiter was helpful with sauce recommendations (trout w/ lemon butter sauce was great, as were the snap peas).
Service was excellent. Food was very nicely presented and delicious. We lingered over dinner but never felt rushed. Very nice place for a friends’ reunion.
The service was the best I've had in a long time. Our appetizers were amazing (tuna tartare & sushi rolls), and my girlfriend's dinner was tasty (scallops). I got the special cod over clam chowder, and it was super disappointing. The fish and soup were both completely underseasoned, just a very bland, brownish dish. Extremely underwhelming considering it was around $35 for cod with soup. I don't mind paying for simple dishes if they're really well put together, but I couldn't even finish it. I may have just chosen a bad dish, as everything else about the restaurant was great, including the wine by the glass we got.
First visit to this restaurant based on Open Table recommendation. The meal was unforgettable - the service was fabulous and will definitely visit again when traveling to the Reston, VA area!
We had a cozy booth near the back. Service was quite good, our waiter checked on us frequently. The fresh bread with the whitefish spread was surprisingly tasty. It’s worth it to eat here just for the crab cakes. I’ve eaten crab cakes at many restaurants, some great, some not so great. Nowhere has touched the ones at PassionFish. They just melt in your mouth. The trout was excellent, and we succumbed to trying out the Mac and jack, even though Mac and cheese out is often disappointing. This was pretty tremendous. Moist, cheesy, topped with a crumb crust that tasted decadently of browned butter. All in all, a very good experience.
This is the second time we came in for Sunday brunch and it was exceptional. Great menu and price. Especially the $2 drinks. Food is consistently good and the service is fantastic.
PassionFish is a reliable selection for a nice meal out.
The food is good and the service generally very good.Prices are a bit high for the suburbs. Fish and sushi rolls are fresh and well prepared. I would like to commend the busboy, Jack, for his outstanding service. If you eat at Passionfish, please feel free to speak to Jack and tip him directly. He's a good kid.
First, our waiter, Gerard, provided truly outstanding service - gracious, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. My wife had the salmon and I enjoyed the NY strip. Both were excellent and paired well with the wines Gerard recommended. The ambiance is elegant and classy. Without the din so common at other places, my wife and I conversed at a normal volume. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. PassionFish is where we go for a romantic special date.
Seafood is SUPERB & delicious! Highly Highly recommend it! 👍👍😋
Smokehouse Wedge Salad
Prawns & Oysters
Grilled Baby Octopus
Crab Cake ( best in DMV )
Gumbo w/ Prawns & BIG Oysters 👍👍
This place is always good, however in my reservations I requested to be seated upstairs for a company dinner. Instead we were seated in the front close to the bar, which was very very noisy and we could not discuss business to much. For a place like this I read reservations closer if they are asking for other detail information.
I would probably choose another restaurant for my next business meeting. I would recommend to a friend, but not for a business meeting. If we were seated upstairs as I requested it would have been okay.
Please pay to attention to detail
We love their sushi! It is excellent. They were busy with a few large parties so service was a bit off, and I’m being kind. Have been gong there for a long time and we know the food will be good. It’s easy to get in and out, as far as parking, for dinner. Overall it’s our go to close to home.
It was PassionFish's 10th anniversary and to honor their cardholding members, they had some $10.00 specials from their appetizer and sushi menu. My daugther-in-law and I made a meal from the specials (added on dessert and coffee.) Oysters were $1.00 apiece. It was a very tasty meal and we enjoyed ourselves. I had oysters to start and she had fried clams. We then split two of the sushi rolls and a hot calamari dish. We were happy to celebrate PassionFish's 10th.
We had our wedding reception dinner at PassionFish, and we come here every year for our anniversary. Food and service is always on point!
Overall I would rate the seafood as the best in NoVa. The dining room is nice and the service was friendly and attentive. I had the swordfish which was delicious and grilled perfectly (medium). Others in our party were very pleased with the halibut special, the salmon, the lobster, and the gumbo. The wine (Lauverjat Sancerre) was a great pairing. I am looking forward to a return visit.
Love PassionFish. Very nice evening as we expected the only thought is the fish that night was a tad over cooked. Nothing to be upset about. Just a little off from our many previous visits. Still far above most seafood restaurants we visit.
Second time eating at PassionFish and it did not disappoint. Took my friend there for her birthday dinner on a Thursday evening. It was lively but not super crowded. We were seated upstairs and able to chat comfortably without shouting. Be sure to eat the rolls. They are sprinkled with salt on the top that is a delight to eat with the buttered rolls. After we ordered the Captain Crunch Roll, which was excellent. Made me want to order more sushi and just nosh on that the entire evening. We decided that next time we come back we'll do that. On to entrees! We both ordered the swordfish, blackened with the lemon beurre blanc and romesco. Delicious fish, prepared well. It didn't even need the sauce IMO. My side of fries were perfectly crisp on the outside just like I like them. Had the veggie sides last time but wanted to indulge this go around with the fries and mac and jack. Would definitely order them again. For drinks we stuck with the non-alcoholic Purple Haze. What is really wonderful about PassionFish is all the small touches throughout the meal. For instance, our drinks were prepared in mini cocktail shakers at the table. Since I had informed the restaurant it was my friend's birthday, they had a special message written at the top of the menu which she got to keep later. Or when they served our swordfish, the lemon was tied into a tiny cheesecloth so no seeds would get into our food. We tend to notice these touches that really make PassionFish an excellent experience overall. Naturally our server, Rob, was phenomenal! The meal never felt rushed and we felt very well taken care of. He even comped us both of our birthday desserts when he found out my birthday had just happened too. Be sure to try the passion fruit creme brulee. You won't be disappointed should you choose to dine here.
Outstanding service by Kenny. You could tell he really knew his stuff. All the food was great, from the appetizers to the soup to the main course. All great.
Great waiter and room
Very enjoyable dining experience
The sushi and fish entrees we got were soooooooo good! By far, best sushi and seafood in the area. I could eat here everyday 😊
Food is always great; service usually great. But tonight service was veeeerrrry slow. Something must have happened in the kitchen. Food was great when it finally came. Service not attentive.
Love to meet with friends to enjoy the delicious Passion Fish Sunday Brunch. Good menu choices, great food and attentive service. Perfect every time.
PassionFish has a great week-end brunch. For $17.00 you get two courses. Some of the items are almost $17 alone during other times at the restaurant. The food is great as is the service.
Passion Fish is always reliable. One of the best brunch values around. Excellent service as well.
Had a wonderful meal at Passion Fish. The sushi and the Lobster curry were amazing. It was a little loud. We found it hard to hear our waiter. It is a little expensive but you do get great food. We will be back.
Vincent was our server & was very friendly & efficient. He had great knowledge for the wine & food , making great recommendations. We started with sushi - the passion fish roll & the captain crunch roll were amazing. For our lunch we had crab cakes & shrimp & grits... so good! Can’t wait to return
Ok food . 44 dollars for a lister dish which did not taste fresh and was mostly canned pineapple was a bit much.
Did not understand why when I asked for oysters I could not get the ratio I asked but had to do even number of each.
Felt the waiter pushed alcohol on us.
Always delicious with terrific service!
If you like seafood, this is a great restaurant. The food is fresh and well priced. I was very pleased with the exceptional service we received from our waiter.
Wonderful experience. We enjoyed our meal and the staff. 5 stars.
Server was excellent. Food execution was slow.
Good meal and food
