The service was great, however our food was sub par. The food arrived cold to our table and it wasn’t just one plate. It was all 6 plates. Unfortunately the taste was good but the food served cold just was unappealing. They did discount our check but the manager never came over to our table to apologize or anything.
Menus are only online which was very confusing for the more elderly in our group. The music was very loud to the point of making conversation difficult especially for those wearing hearing aids. However, even those in our group who were not wearing hearing aids said the music was much too loud for conversation.

Had to ask for Salsa that we didn't get. Had to wait for utensils. Had to ask for chips twice. But the food was delicious and this is why we'll be coming back.
We have always really enjoyed eating here, until this time. We didn’t like the ordering experience, we didn’t have a designated server, we never received water or chips and salsa, until we asked when someone dropped our food off. It felt very disordered. We were disappointed.
Hmmm…started off with two small top shelf Margs….a WHOPPING $32!!!! Plus tip!!! It was STILL happy hour too! Love the patio…my food which was just cheese enchiladas….came lukewarm….which I just brought home…not worth eating that way. The two very small Margs for $32 soured my feeling….during happy hour too…did not call some high end tequila either! Service personnel very nice…very confusing ordering online…for older folks….hope next time is better…this is a go to restaurant for me…

We found both the mole and the braised pork to be overly sweet. We had to use the phone ordering system and received apps and mains at the same time but before our drinks arrived. I did not realize we needed to self expedite as well.

The ordering process using a APP is horrible, your server cannot take your order. Terrible experience. This will ruin this what used to be great place.

We went for a group lunch. Everyone's food was very good. The margaritas were on point, as usual. I do miss the personal servers with having to use the QR code to order. Overall, it was a good experience, and we will return.
The music was way too noisy and not a good choice of music.
Just the lack of service since Covid! This used to be my go to place for lunch or dinner! Now I don’t even know if I will go back. It’s not the same.

Food is always good. Really don’t like the QR code ordering system. It makes dining out very impersonal and rushed. Might as well cook at home. Please bring back actual service like it should be. There was so much staff standing around so I know there were plenty to accommodate their own section of tables. This kind of service is just lazy. Also very limited menu which is also getting old.
This is a nice place for a small group. Bunch needs to be stepped up.
I love Zocalos but the menu is very limited and the online ordering is clunky. There was no server, except for people who shuttled food and drinks to the table. My food arrived cold.
Food was good. They have an annoying online system of ordering/paying. Much prefer person to person interaction..... obviously, being aware of Covid issues.
When all food is ordered on one phone with one tab, all food for the table should come out at one time not 10 minutes apart. This happens every time at this restaurant.
I love the UV location and decided to give the Roseville location a try. We made a reservation for Friday evening. Despite the packed house, the food came VERY quickly. Unfortunately, the inside of the tacos were cold dry. Not the quality I have experienced at the other locations. The ambiance and drinks were great. The staff was friendly and helpful. We may give the location another try when it's not so busy.
The food is good. The service this time was too much and it felt rushed. Other times I have been there, you couldn't get a server's attention. You don't get an assigned server, they really need to work on it. I did have an order issue, which they corrected right away. But, when my margarita came with salt and I asked for one without salt, I am pretty sure they just poured it into a glass without salt. I could still taste the salt. I recommend because the food is good and hope they get the service smoothed out.
The new ordering process is awful. Even with 5:30 reservations, we were not sat until 6:02- at which point we were told we missed happy hour… that ended at 6. Not having a dedicated server was a mess. Waited 45 minutes for half of our drinks despite asking multiple times. Things we didn’t order were added to our tab, and it was hard to flag anyone down. Won’t go back.
Your staff was amazing at my first visit there. Each person we interacted with provided friendly, knowledgeable and professional assistance.
I was so impressed that I referred a friend to your restaurant telling her it was a fantastic place to have a meal.
In the name of COVID, they force people to order through an app instead of just being able to tell the wait staff what you want. It’s pointless and frustrating and actually heightens the chance of spreading a virus because the wait staff frequently has to pick up the customer’s phone to put in the order. Zocalo, please give this dumb policy a rest!

Great food and service! The covered patio is a great place to dine and observe people. They have heaters there as well for when it is cool out as well as ceiling fans.
It was frustrating not having a waiter to get what we needed. The margaritas where watered down and not as good S they used to be
The receptionist was nice to sit us earlier than our reservation. Food was ok but I felt was not worth the money as it wasn't as good as some reviews had said.
The food was delicious and we really liked the atmosphere.
The atmosphere was wonderful, but food all came out separately for each diner, one had to wait quite awhile. Food was not hot.

Our first time at this restaurant. We had to ask to be moved outside because music inside was too loud for conversation. There were not enough employees to cover the tables so service wasn't great. All ordering and payment was through the phone via a QR code and there were too many glitches with each part of the process to make it a pleasant experience. ( 3 people at the table, two tabs, but the tip for one tab ended up calculated for entire table and if we weren't double checking it we would have tipped double. One tab wouldn't actually process and the server had to take it manually)
Basically it was like ordering takeout and someone just delivered to your table.
