first time in and I really enjoyed the fact that it was inside a wine store and had many bottles available on an enomatic machine that enables self pours of numerous bottles associated with their 4 different machines located in various parts of the restaurant. Form a taste, to a half glass to a full pour and all self serve via your enomatic card. the fillet is probably the best we've had in the city of VB. Having a nice crust, perfectly seasoned and topped with a truffle butter. they also have frequently rotating styles of various deviled egg appetizers. one of the few non-asian restaurants that has a whole fish on the menu. We also had the braised pork belly which was very good. the Skillet cookies were a unique concept with the ice cream and caramel and raspberry drizzle. a tad too sweet for my taste but I can see how they would be a hit with most western palettes. while not a large menu, it has something for everyone and is expertly executed by Chef Cody. it is a high energy place and everybody seems to be having a good time with the concept. While the enomatic is fun, it pulls one towards a fatter than normal check. we will return regularly for the food and the fun.
The food was wonderful. Great service and the general wine knowledge was outstanding. Will definitely be going back again. Reservations a few days in advance are a good idea.
Yianni’s is absolutely fantastic in every way you would expect from a fine dining establishment. The service is impeccable, friendly, and they take the time to get to know you. The sommeliers are knowledgeable, yet down to earth, and will spend the time to understand what you enjoy, before blindly recommending a wine. When they do recommend a wine, they take your price point into account and have never missed a great recommendation for my wife and I. The kitchen staff, from the executive chef down through the cooks and preppers nail every dish, every time. Chef Codie is a master with wild game, fish, beef, lamb, and every accompanying dish he’s ever plated for us.
Yianni’s is a “must go” for anyone who enjoys a night out where the table is yours as long as you want it. Go now!
We celebrated a friend’s 55th birthday here. Very fun vibe. Unbelievable wine selection and cocktail menu. All wines from the shop are available tableside with no corking fee. Very nice, small, menu options. Service was impeccable. Would be a great date night spot!
As always, the whole staff was friendly and helpful explaining wonderful foods.

Everyone on the staff is absolutely phenomenal. This is the best Place to eat in Virginia Beach. We highly recommend everything on the menu and the sommelier is phenomenal.

The enomatic wine dispensers allow you to sample many wines rather than simply buying a glass or a bottle. The somms, Christopher and Josh, were always available to answer questions or offer advice on selecting a wine option. The food and service were outstanding.
Felt like family as soon as we were welcomed in the door. Chris knows wine. Yianni stopped by the table to say hello.
The bread and truffle butter is “OMG”. Staff worked great as a team and all looked happy working together. Fun atmosphere. Food was delicious. Impressive wine collection.

My salmon was cooked perfectly and was delicious but my friend’s soup was not hot. Possibly the soup was hot but the bowl was cold

The staff was able to seat us early and were very welcoming! The sommelier was very knowledgeable and recommended an amazing wine to pair with our meal! I highly recommend and will definitely be a regular.
Went here for my fiancé birthday. We loved the atmosphere. We were a little disappointed with the Caesar salad. It contained actual anchovies(fish) which threw us off. The description didn’t mention there would be fish so we were slightly taken a back. Other than that everything else was great! Definitely going back again.
Branzino was delicious. Chris, the Maitre d' really catered to us. I have been there many times. Love it!!!!
Took 30 min just to put our order in. After about an hour we asked how long it would take. The waitress said “oh it’ll be out soon.” I responded with, “ well can you check please because it’s been about an hour and we haven’t even received our salads.” That apparently upset her bc she avoided our table since that point on. Very unprofessional. Once we received our entree my husband couldn’t even eat it. We took it to go and ended up throwing it out at home. The steak was charred and the veggies tasted like burnt plastic. Very disappointing

Four of us had dinner that evening and we hadn't seen each other in nearly 6 months. Every plate that arrived was presented well and the taste was amazing. Best lamb chops I've ever eaten. None of us had anything negative to say. Well done!
This was our first time here and I was not disappointed! The ambiance is amazing— I am definitely coming back here with my husband for a romantic night out, and I will definitely be back with a few of my girl friends for a girls night out! Yianni (the owner) was so spectacular and he made it a point to ensure every guest, at every table was satisfied and well taken care of. He was so excited warm, upbeat, and welcoming.
Side note: the bread and butter they serve as a little appetizer is free (!) fresh, limitless, and delicious! Yianni gave us a loaf to take home.
Oh, also, they have Sommelier’s there at your request! I’m not sure if this is how it is in the daytime, but for dinner I’m assuming this is a norm! He made some amazing recommendations. I’m excited to go back for sure. Yianni, you gained 4 devoted patrons for life! Thank you for your passion towards food, wine, and the experience (even with COVID!)

We went to Yianni's to celebrate my husband's birthday. The entire experience was great! The owner Yianni, was very personable and sat down with us to give us the restaurant's history and came back a few times to check on it. I had scallops, while my husband had a 30 day aged steak, which was fantastic. The drinks were delicious well!
Overall, a perfect evening out!
Excellent food and a personal tour from the owner made this a wonderful experience. We have found our new favorite restaurant in Virginia Beach. You must go!!! :)

First time visiting them. Great menu and great pricing IF you purchase a bottle. They only charge the retail cost of the bottle with no corkage fee. My wife had a great bottle for around 18 dollars. However, I went by the glass and my bill for three glasses was over 50 dollars...so, ask about the cost by the glass vice the bottle. This aside, the food was terrific and the setting is a great place for a date night, etc. Knowledgable staff and everything was really tasty. I highly recommend the smoked fish platter.

Fantastic food and great atmosphere. Truly loved the food and the wait staff was prompt and well informed about the offerings and wine selection.
My husband and I had so much fun tasting all the wines on the Enomatic machines. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Not only can you choose from a myriad of wine but a full bar as well, I had a Tequilla Runner (a take on a Rum Runner) that was awesome. The food was cooked to perfection and I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to dine out!
