Woolwich Pier Hotel would have received top marks, except for the fact that they were short of spoons when we ordered dessert. Bizarre! I have never encountered this in a restaurant. However, the food was brilliant and we will certainly be returning.

Disappointed not to get balcony table ad requested for my son’s birthday lunch but these things happen as a large group booking was outside. However when a booking form asks if the booking is for a special occasion & birthday is stated ( as I did) in other restaurants some small token from the restaurant has been provided eg cupcake, free drink even just a birthday message on the table. Nothing happened for my son’s birthday. Why ask for information such a this if not going to do anything with it ?

My overall experience was great. However, the green stools near the front of the bar had some buttons missing on the seats and exposed some rusted sharp metal which made a hole in my expensive shorts ( Tommy Bahama ). These steel edges were quite sharp and we had to move our seating. I informed one of the female staff. I would appreciate some compensation for ripping my shorts.....thx.

I’ve been here many times and have always loved coming back, but unfortunately, I’ve noticed that the portion sizes seem to be getting increasingly stingy. Paying $40 for such a small steak feels very poor value for money. The schnitzel portions also appear to have become noticeably smaller. One of the things I love about pub food, and particularly at the Woolwich Pier Hotel, is that, alongside generally being good quality, it’s traditionally generous and satisfying. Unfortunately, our meal on Sunday was neither. I really hope the portions can be reviewed, as it would be disappointing to see a place I’ve always enjoyed lose one of the things that makes pub dining so appealing.

Hello Katia, Thank you for taking the time to share such honest feedback, especially as a regular guest. We’re sorry to hear that your recent meal didn’t meet the generous and satisfying standard you’ve come to expect from Woolwich Pier Hotel. We truly value your comments regarding the portion sizes, and we’ll be passing this feedback on to our kitchen and management teams for review. We appreciate your ongoing support and hope we can welcome you back and provide the experience you’ve enjoyed with us in the past.
