Suggest you not order their steak. Overcooked and waited for a replacement. They gave us dessert and very courteous. I’m sure another choice might have been better. Salad and potatoes and bread excellent. We ordered the wrong meal.

Our bar experience with Amanda was amazing! What a fun, attentive person she was. In hind sight, it would’ve been a better decision to do that because once we were seated, it all went downhill. The food was quite good however it was cold. That being said, our waiter Eddie, who was pleasant enough but was very inattentive. It took awhile to take our order, then we waited and waited and waited about 45 minutes for the food to come out. No Eddie to ask. Finally Eddie was walking past so we asked where our food was and his response was “probably about 5 minutes yet”. True to that, it was only 5 minutes but it was evident that the food had been sitting there because it wasn’t the least bit warm. It tasted good but we all mentioned how much better it would’ve been if it were hot. Eddie stopped by as it was being served so we didn’t know it was not hot until he walked away. He never returned to refill water glasses or asked how everything was. We had to go search for him to just get our bill. We noticed the inside restaurant was not busy and he was no where to be seen inside either. When he finally arrived at the table, we let him know we were disappointed in his lack of attentiveness and service to which he threw the kitchen staff under the bus by saying “He apologized but the kitchen was very backed up” and did remind us that he did come over when the food was being delivered to see if we needed anything. At that moment, we didn’t but we sure needed things afterwards, like more water! Never saw him again until it was time to pay. We understand staffing issues are a thing and maybe he was overwhelmed but just needed to pass this on.

The NY Strip was the tough and dry. We waited a very long time for the meal to be served even though the restaurant wasn’t at all crowded. I should have sent it back but didn’t have time at that point.

We were seated immediately in the center of the dining room. Our server brought menus and asked if we’d like beverages. Several ordered coffee, one person tea, others had water . Server brought coffee and poured 1/2 cup into the mugs. Took our orders promptly, and we socialized with our friends for an hour! As I watched our breakfasts being set up, I noticed our server bringing meals to a table of 4 who came in as we were ordering our meals. My meal was lukewarm but being poached eggs, could not send it back to be heated. A couple of people specifically ordered crispy potatoes rather than Tuscan potatoes and noticed that their potatoes looked like the Tuscan potatoes that the others had. A woman came over and explained that they only serve one kind of potatoes but the menu lists them differently. I asked for a coffee refill and got another 1/2 cup. We waited another 1/2 hr for our checks. The jazz brunch was a lone trumpet player who was in another room playing relaxing songs- a very nice touch.

Wolfgangs had been our go to here in the Villages since we moved here over 2 years ago. For some reason the place has fallen down on our last 3 visits. First of all, the music on the patio is at absolutely ear splitting volumes, no exaggeration. The guy is pretty good, but you cannot hear yourself think. The person at the host stands was very frustrated saying that people complain constantly but management does nothing. We bring visitors from our of town here more than once a month and we like to be able to have conversation but it is impossible. You are better off in one of the squares. Then they're is the service. Our drinks took more than 20 minutes to arrive on our last three visits. We ordered starters and they took over half an hour, one of them was bread service for goodness sake. Even though we ordered mains when we ordered the starter, they took 40 minutes after the starters arrived. One was a filet that one of our guests ordered well done, and it arrived very bloody, and it took 10 minutes for the waiter to check on it and then the cook up took 15 minutes. The food was good but the ecperience was terrible. The kitchen must be an absolute mess for this kind of output. We are heartbroken that the one place we could get a good meal in the Villages has fallen down so badly. They need a real manager to get that place in shape.

Our meals were delicious. I had the Gulf Grouper, which was outstanding, and my husband had an Oriental salad he said was great. My only dislike about this restaurant is the ambiance or lack of. Something about the layout makes me feel like I'm in a cafeteria. Also, there are a lot of hard surfaces, and it tends to be pretty noisy. We were fortunate to secure a booth, which was probably the quietest option available.
