   Don't come early or your dishes might come out of the kitchen too fast. I thought that the order of service could have been slower and better organized. The food was generally good. Best things were smoked shrimp, fried brussel sprouts, salmon crudo (but not very shareable... on one tube or rice that we had to cut up), uni bucatini... I like my pasta al dente, but this could have used another minute or two, french fries were good, but I'm not sure what crab dusted means. There was a little crab in the aioli. The branzino was also good, if a little overpriced. Should have ordered some pizza... they looked good.

   We gave it a try but it's not amazing and quite expensive for what you get, so it won't be on the regular rotation. Our server, Ingrid was great.

   Because the food is good we like to go there, but the noise level is deafening. Therefore, we have a favorite table that we used to get which is relatively quieter and we come early but this time, although I reserved a week in advance and asked for the table when we arrived we were told that they never promised a table in advance. so it’s a difficult choice if we can’t be assured of a reasonably quiet table, do we come anyway to enjoys good food and not be able to talk to your partner or not

   Great service; great food. The flatbread, brussel sprouts and jonah crab pasta were amazing! The lobster pasta was a little salty. We'll ask for less salt next time. The ginger donut holes were incredible. The chocolate peanut butter dessert was a little over the top for us. BTW, I usually don't use such extreme adjectives in reviews. We loved Waypoint!

   Amazing food, love waypoint! The branzino, lobster cacio e pepe, and caviar were especially delicious. Also highly recommend the absinthe cocktails.

   Food was great as always, never disappoints. Our table wasn’t ready until 7:50 for a 7:30 reservation which was disappointing. We also saw the table that we’d be sat at be empty for a few minutes before it was cleaned for us. I understand restaurants get busy but it felt as though a nearly 30 minute wait for a reservation is a bit much. While the food was good the 3 dishes we ordered as mains came out very spread out (2 pizzas came out around the same time, almost 10+ minutes later the pasta dish arrived at the table). The woman bussing the table behind ours was slamming against the booth which would knock hs forward every time she did it. Again, overall I love the food but the service feels clunky and even sloppy at times.

    Waypoint always delivers! The best Happy Hour in Boston. We had guests from NYC and they left the meal saying "Wow, that was excellent, this one is on the list!" Thank you as always.

    Love this place-food is only rivaled by the cocktails- had an incredible smoky milk wash cocktail to die for. My only complaint is that since the city of Cambridge removed all the street parking to create bike lanes, parking is really a challenge- need tips on wear to park.

    My appetizer and entree were not delivered until I made a fuss since my wife and daughter had almost finished their entrees. They had to cancel my appetizer. They gave us a free dessert we didn’t want. They should have comped my entree.

    Very pleasant experience. Lovely surroundings. A little loud on Friday night, but way better than many restaurants in the area. Waitperson was very responsive and efficient. My only caveat: the menu is difficult for vegetarians or even squeamish pescatarians (surprisingly). I ended up having a protein-free meal. Aside from that, my husband and son were delighted with the oysters and shrimp. I would give this restaurant a five-star rating if (1) they expanded their vegetarian options by even one or two dishes that included vegetable protein and (2) they took octopus off the menu completely (for ethical reasons).

    Overall, we really liked Waypoint. It's a beautiful space and the food was quite good. They were definitely short staffed, but who isn't post pandemic- and our server was working both sides of the restaurant.

    Our food was good, but took about 20 mins between courses. The main dishes all came out sporadically so our food was cold by the time the last guest received their food.

    I'd be happy to write a restaurant review for Valentine's Day! My partner and I had the pleasure of dining at Waypoint for Valentine's Day and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles, bubbles and attentive service. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with flowers, candles and soft lighting, which created a romantic atmosphere. The menu was outstanding, featuring a delectable selection of entrees, esepcially our favorite dishes of oysters and Uni. Throughout the evening, the service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, our Valentine's Day dinner at Waypoint was a truly memorable experience. The food, service and atmosphere were all outstanding, and we left feeling thoroughly satisfied and happy. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.

    Food was great. High top chairs are unbearable to sit in (I’m an averaged sized person) service was fine because he was new. Drink menu not the best but the drink we did get (indigo cure) was amazing. Overall good experience

    i'm a chef so i am picky but they didn't even have tabasco hot sauce for oysters this is the first place i went where they didn't have the hot sauce also the salad was horrible and rushed bartender and drinks were great and service was great but food never again for dinner i will try it again for brunch

    Food and service were amazing, especially for the price point. We had a few folks who were not that into seafood and this was not an issue at all. Really, really delicious. We did have a challenge with parking/valet. There is not much available for parking and we had a larger business group coming independently. There was no coordination between the restaurant and the valet service, which meant we had to go find the attendant both before and after dinner, multiple times. Everyone waiting for the attendant had to wait in and block busy traffic an bike lanes, somewhat stressful and frustrating as the attendant could never be found, and the resto couldnt help. At one point we found the attendant sitting in a car with a friend across the street, watching us look for them for over 10 min. Another time the attendant was sitting on their phone inside the adjacent building while we looked, tried getting help from the host, and walking around in the cold, while getting honked at and yelled at by motorists and bikers alike. Normally I wouldnt put this in here, but it was pretty stressful for the entire group, and took up at least 30 minutes of our time that we would have rather spent eating and enjoying the wonderful food and drinks.

    Had a great time at Waypoint! Service was excellent - the hostess, the server, the food runners… all the staff were kind and courteous. Our server, Victoria, was very efficient and nice. She knew we were off to a show after, so she made sure our food was out in a timely manner and our plates were cleared promptly. The food was delicious! We had the steak frites and lobster caccio and peppe. Would definitely recommend both. I had a mocktail that I really enjoyed it. We’ll definitely come back soon!

    Waypoint seems like a great place to grab some drinks with friends. The drinks menu was larger than the actual dining menu. Not really somewhere I would suggest for dinner. The waitress disappeared for an exorbitant amount of time and by the end, the manager I believe brought the boxes, boxed our food and handled the ticket. Overall it’s a fine restaurant but comes across as more of a place for drinks and socializing than somewhere for a true dining experience.

    The food was very good. The atmosphere is energetic lively and fun. The manager is a great guy and took the time to stop by the table and ask how everything was. The drinks were good and creative. The only issue we had was the valet. It's hard to find a spot to pull over to and once we did there was no valet guy to be found. We ended up driving around looking for a parking space and that's no fun in Cambridge. Overall it's a great place. Next time I will Uber.

    With a group of 6, we had an amazing experience. Perfect ambiance. The drinks were good. The menu had a great variety of off-the-beaten-path dishes. Everyone on the staff was pleasant and accommodating.
