   I made a reservation for mine and my wife's anniversary and arrived to menus signed by the entire staff wishing us a "Happy Anniversary". Mitchell, our waiter was great and attentive. The food...was absolutely delicious! I HIGHLY recommend True Blue Butcher & Barrel!

   Took visiting guests (both Vegans) to brunch. Options available to them were acceptable and amazing. More Vegan options on menu would be helpful. Service and food excellent!

   The restaurant is extremely loud. The volume of the music being played made it difficult to have a conversation with others at the table. Consequently people at nearby tables were basically shouting at each other. Overall the noise level was unpleasant. The service was fine but it took almost an hour to get appetizers then another hour for the entrees. We had the Brussels sprouts and popcorn chicken appetizers which were both very good. The burgers and pork torta sandwich were good but not amazing. The restaurant was recommended by a friend but based on first experience I would be unlikely to return.

   Great food and drinks, would put the steaks and sides up against any large chain such as Ruth's Chris or Flemings. The service was not what I would have expected but it was not for a lack of effort, just inexperience. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a fine meal and drinks - hope the service level is upgraded. (yes, it is tough in the food service industry but at the price point there should have been more management oversight - we did no hold it against the server when tipping as they did the best they could have done).

   The service was very slow for a restaurant that was practically empty. Our waiter was somewhat MIA on checking on us, clearing the table, getting our checks to us and then getting checks back to us to sign off. Sat outside… lovely. Food was good for the price. Will try once more and hope improved.

   We had ana amazing brunch. We have been to this restaurant before for lunch and dinner but never their brunch. We were not disappointed, the brunch was fabulous, from the serviceto the food to the overall atmosphere. Will definitely be going there again and again!

    Our experience was great overall. The food was very good, and our server was super attentive. I do think it was expensive when compared to some other places we've been for comparable meals, but we would definitely come back again and maybe order with cost in mind...which I do think can be done!

    Trendy, noisy spot for great food. The burger was delicious, but would benefit from less "bun", it just overwhelmed the deliveries of the fresh ground beef. Great place for dining with a group of besties. Not good if you want to talk with more than the person sitting right next to you.

    Food was okay. However, when dinner and a shared dessert plus 2 drinks cost $225 with tip I expect great food. Not just okay food. Wife’s steak was way over cooked from the medium request.

    Our waiter forgot our appetizer, we asked for our burgers medium and they were well and we had no sauce. I also waited 10min for a refill of a tea. It was overall horrible and we were recently at the True Blue in Mayfair which was fabulous. I am so disappointed .

    Most of the food was great but the steak was disappointing for the price. I don’t mind spending for a great cut of meat and they are known for the steak so I was disappointed it didn’t live up to the hype. The sides and sandwiches were great.

    My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, starting with delicious, well-crafted cocktails by the bartender, Wyatt. Every member of the staff was so friendly and accommodating. I have a lot of food sensitivities, and our server was so great guiding us through! Everything was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend the elote curled corn and our ribeyes were amazing! A++

    From start to finish, this was a great experience. On point service and the food was incredible. My steak was cook as requested and was tender and juicy. Our server went beyond providing us with suggestions of the area as well.

    Very nice dinner. The shrimp cocktail was a bit spicy, but the shrimp were great quality. Filets were delicious. Will definitely reccommend!

    Mitchell, our server, was great. One of our appetizers was a little too spicy, but Mitchell helped with getting that corrected. Enjoyed our dinner and time there and would definitely come back.

    Husband and I went on Valentines late afternoon and the food was divine. We would have enjoyed complimentary bread/butter or olive oil especially since the company features a bakery north of Wilmington and since it was a special holiday think a table decoration or a Valentine garnish surprise would have been fun, so that is why I demoted the ambiance and value. It really is a lovely restaurant for the eyes, my steak was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth, the fries were fresh with no hint of grease, the apple cider mock-tail was yummy and the Brussels sprouts were plentiful and very good. True Blue definitely wants to be a top-shelf Wilmington restaurant and it fits the part. The choice of music playlist was exceptional…thank God there was no rock and roll playing! We has no problems having a table conversation so the noise level was fine. Taylor was our waiter and he was personable and attentive. Personally, I think a little more generous hospitality in the way of extras (bread, special holiday garnish or decor-I don’t mean a rose or carnation to take home🫤) will set True Blue apart from the other similar restaurants in our area.

    A very great steak is difficult to find…and this is the place to find it. The meat is incredible in both the quality of the cut and how it is cooked and presented. Check out the butcher case for your particular delicacy, let them know how you would like it prepared, and prepare for your tastebuds to come alive! The shareable sides are fantastic as well, most serve 2-3 people.

    Best steak I've had in a long time! People who give this place bad reviews are snobs! The seasoning on the steak was the best part, and our server cherish was amazing. I am definitely going back once a month.

    The four of us went Saturday night when they were serving free cheese burgers. The host sat us quickly, waiter was attentive and helpful and burgers were excellent. The burger was a hearty size, cook just right and fresh condiments with burger size portions. My only complain would be the bun, to much bread. Solution was to take off the top. We also order french fries, roasted potatoes and brussels sprouts. All the side orders were large and enough for two. Again french fries and roasted potatoes were excellent but the brussels sprouts were very over done. Most of them were soft to the point of being mushy. Overall we enjoyed our meal and would go again but would not order brussel spouts.

    I love TBB but the noise at the greenfield street one is too loud for me. It was difficult to have a conversation with the person across from me until the table next to us left. Other than that, things were phenomenal. The kitchen made a special accommodation for me at my request without hesitation. The Prime NY strip is the best steak I’ve ever had! Highly recommend.

    Steak tips were tough and unappealing looked like brown rocks on a stick, hard to remove from skewer-not juicy or rare as requested. Some of Iceberg wedge was bitter.

    Much more casual than the other location on Military cutoff. We enjoyed the seafood cocktail, steak frites, and the KC strip. Our entrées were excellent. The seafood cocktail tasted great, but would probably not order again due to size and price.

    The restaurant accommodated moving us inside instead of outdoor seating. Service was incredibly slow. Drink orders took forever to arrive. I ordered a second drink that never arrived prior to us leaving. The hamburgers were heavy and greasy and the fries were soggy. Brussel sprouts were awesome.

    Our waiter had all the perfect suggestions for our table of 4. We had the steak flight with a side, some sharables, and a couple desserts. It was absolutely delicious!! The cocktails were well crafted. We selected a whiskey flight and the waiter made great whiskey and bourbon suggestions based on what we liked. We even got to learn a cool story about one of the bourbon's we didn't know before. Definitely would recommend!
