   Really beautiful building. Food was very nice - got the lamb. Genuinely the only thing I felt was missing was some faint background music as it was otherwise almost a bit too quiet. But can definitely say I will be back and will never hesitate to head in for a quick pint with a friend when in the area! The bar staff were absolute gents and super nice to my dad. A+!

   There was a bit of a mix up with our order. The manager handled it very well and turned what could have been a very bad experience into a very good one. Will definitely be back.

   Another excellent trip to the School House. Husband had the Black Sole, which he said was outstanding, best he ever had. I had Chicken on a bed of mash with peas and lardons, with a delicious jus. Both dishes Superb.

    A interesting building in a nice location. The staff are friendly and helpful and the relaxed feel of the place is very pleasant. The menu is not extensive, but there are enough options to suit most tastes. Best classified as 'Gastro Pub Grub'.

    We were assigned a table next to the toilets so.. not the best experience.

Just to clarify this area has multiple tables which are used many times everyday and which are not next to the toilets as they are separated by a door and entrance which then leads to the bathroom area.     We went on Valentines Day, and even on such a busy occasion, the mood was relaxed and intimate. The food was incredible, and the servers were incredibly friendly.

    We ate lunch on the day of a rugby international at nearby Aviva. It was busy but the service was prompt and the food was classic bar menu, burgers, fish & chips or pasta - but all very tasty. Not cheap but also not crazy by Dublin standards. I’ll definitely be back!

    Disappointed unfortunately.. our table was at the top of a stairs.. it felt we were sitting on the landing.. beside an emergency door.. slow service but very friendly.. ok salad to start, duck dish ok but no extras offered so we didn’t think to order potatoes etc .. my burger which I asked for well-done, was literally cremated.. black! As was the bun! All I could taste was burn… we were in a hurry so I didn’t want to wait for another.. a thin burger too, very poor. Be careful eating here… maybe it was just the chef on this particular day..! Wasn’t mad busy or anything… Won’t be returning all the same.

    Good food . But when we arrived as my husband is in a wheelchair we went through the Hotel area. The receptionist made a big deal out of us going through the restaurant as there was a private function on. That not our fault or our responsibility. Also the people ( customers made us feel horrible going in to tge restaurant and going out ) . Also if my husband needed to use the bathroom he would have private function. No thought was put into logistic of the wheelchair and a function.

    Had seen the Schoolhouse multiple times on trips into Dublin City and decided to book a table for a Birthday occasion for 2. When we got there, we were seated in the bar/pub table area and not the restaurant part which was disappointing. We were given a table in the middle of families with kids and what felt like locals having a few drinks in the pub. If it wasnt for the good food and service it would have been hard to oversee that issue. Was looking for more for a restaurant experience than a bit of food in a bar.

    Arrived order was taken quickly, waited 30 mins for starters and we were finished quickly as we were very hungry. Plates were cleared and we waited an hour before we could get someone to follow up with. We were then told the order was put in and only would be prepared then even through we order started and mains together. My steak arrived and was under cooked and majority fat. First and last time I will eat here. We were not offered any explanation.

    Our last night in Ireland. We were warmly greeted, seated in a lovely room with beautiful Christmas decorations. There are fireplaces lit. Just the right level of conversation around us and great food. Service was perfect.

    Nice location but seating 2 couple’s opposite each other was a little off putting, especially when they are strangers. Limited choice thankfully the specials save the day. Service only ok but enjoyed the food. I was glad we had plenty of time as long wait for service and food.

    Overall disappointed with the food three people in our party all order the burgers two had the beef burger and one person ordered the venison burger. the person who ordered the venison burger was given the beef burger and to be honest they looked the same only difference was the red cabbage. All burgers in our opinion were over cooked. We also sat upstairs on the balcony which was far to hot in temperature. we were there three weeks before as a party of 4 two totally different experiences. food was very inconsistent.We would not return based on out last experience. We have been eating a drinking in the Bar for years and have enjoyed the experience.

    Attentive and great service. We were a party of five that arrived not all at the same time - as soon as someone was settled someone was over to take a drinks order. We had a lovely quiet table which was great for catching up with friends and food was great. Overall a great experience and every member of staff was attentive and friendly - I could not recommend enough especially at this busy time of year. Well done - obviously a great team in place and it showed.

    We were rushing to a match in the Aviva nearby. The service was excellent and rapid. Food and drink was good and the overstretched staff were very pleasant (but they deserved a bit more help). The young woman who attended our table (sorry, I didn’t get her name) was really great at looking after us and setting us up for a great evening.
