Welcome to The Red Oak Restaurant, we are available for dine-in and patio seating as well as curbside pickup. If you would like to order for pickup please call 262-857-8588.

We specialize in carefully prepared local and seasonal cuisine served in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Firmly rooted in southeastern Wisconsin, The Red Oak celebrates the richness of the area by crafting dishes and drinks from locally grown produce, humanely raised animals, and locally produced artisanal cheeses, beers and spirits.

It is Obvious they will be closing within 30 days. They are not the same as they were in their prime. We brought friends for their first visit last night as we have entertained many friends there over the years and always enjoyed our experience. Yesterday was different. Our friends tried everything, appetizers and entrees. Only one of us enjoyed our meals. The staff was tired, and not well engaged. May have been related to the slow kitchen …understaffed? Sad to see them slide & close but we wish everyone well.

I had been to the Red Pak many times in the past and was pleased with the quality of the food in this farm-to-table restaurant. Unfortunately, this visit, the kitchen was off in its timing. Basic salads (not composed or anything fancier than greens) and soup (assumed it was ready-to-go) took longer than expected to be served to the table, and the restaurant was not THAT busy. My husband's pork meatball and orzo dish was not served hot. IT was sent back to re-heat, and the PLATE came back hot, but not the food. The staff tries hard, but this was an unexpected glitch in the kitchen this evening. We'll try it again as we have had good experiences, but it should have better kitchen operations.

I think for the prices, there needs to be real value to the meal. It has to be exceptional. My entree was expensive. The side I got with it was just rice. No seasoning and dry. Like out of the box dry. Just sad.

Service was slower tonight than usual, despite being relatively empty. But we had a wonderful time regardless and the food was excellent. As always, we love the local sourcing and sustainability practices, and the fair wages.

As always, the ambiance and food were exceptional. Our waiter, Patrick, did a phenomenal job accommodating my gluten allergy as well as made sure we had anything we needed throughout our dining experience. I love this restaurant particularly because they locally source all of their ingredients. 10/10!

Food tasted fresh and delicious. The lamb skewers had great flavor, the blackened salmon was good with the beats.. The apple sauce is more like dessert.. the fried walleye had great crisp and batter in the finger potatoes/fries were delicious! We got the brownie with ice cream for dessert. It’s not your traditional chewy dessert brownie that’s warmed. It’s more of a dense brownie with a ganache on top, but it was still good..

Always a great experience. Food is delicious and creative. Portions are decent. Service is great. Love the transparency and policy around not tipping. An overall wonderful dining experience.

We love the Red Oak! It's very quaint and I love the quietness of it. It's a wonderful place to have a great meal. It's farm to table and they use all the local farmers, which is a bonus! They serve bison, which we love, from Pierson's Bison Farm! They have some unique offreings as well. We took our mothers there for Mother's Day and they loved it too. Great staff as well. You can't beat it!
