   waitress was super nice and the place was packed. super expensive but the food was good. Very loud also but we had nice table by fireplace. The churros were great

   This is the 2nd time we have eaten here. It was cold so they seated us inside the main dining room near a nice fireplace. This place is elegant, classy, but not too over the top. We had Scott as our server and between him and his support staff, the service was superior/AWESOME. The food is plated with STAUB plates that keep your food warm. I have looked these up as they used to use them at Aviara Golf clubs old steakhouse upstairs called the ARGYLE. Top quality dinnerware for a top quality restaurant/resort. Overall we give this place a 10/10. We had the lobster nachos, the "famous" fried chicken they have on Thursdays, the Sea Bass and everything was extremely good. Pricing is fairly high, but for the level of quality and service, it's actually not that bad. We would highly recommend.

   Jackson was absolutely amazing! Eddie and Sayf also always made sure our waters were topped off throughout the whole meal and ensured we were accommodated. The food was outstanding, drinks were phenomenal and we had the best time celebrating my partners birthday! He enjoyed it all so much it led him straight into a food coma once we got home. Perfect ending to his birthday celebration! Thank you everyone again!

   The Pony Room is less stuffy than the sister restaurant. Excellent fod, very wide menu for everyone, great live music, beautiful view (especially when he weather is nice and the patios are open). Always the very best service.

    Good service and good experience with the family Sundays I think is the best day to go. The place feels warm and cozy like a villa in Spain or somewhere in Europe. It’s nice place.

    The service and food were moderately ok relative to the cost. I may opt for a better quality place in Del Mar or La Jolla for better food especially. It was not bad, just not as spectacular as the prices

    Great evening. Michael our waiter was the best. A lovely atmosphere that makes for a perfect evening. Just driving onto the property brings a sense of peace and calm.

    In brief, it is not the same level restaurant that it was pre-covid and even during covid. In all terms, their menu, service, etc. It is still a good restaurant, but not a one of the best in the area. Half of menu consist of Mexican food, at least half of cocktails are tequila based. Some menu dishes are very spice that does not go well with still nice wine list having lighter wines. Service is nice, but definitely lacks refinement of the previous era.

    Wonderful, attentive service and gorgeous views abound in this new American establishment. Portions are very generous, so while resort prices are the standard, each dish could easily be split by two people.

    We had a spectacular evening at the Pony Room. The service was exceptional, and deserves multiple Michelin stars. The food was amazing as well, although we only tried the cauliflower (large side great for sharing), and street tacos (we had two fish and two carne asada). My cocktail was delicious as well. We will be back again soon!

    We have a standing “date night” where we purposely, at least once a month, try a new dining place/experience. This time we opted for the Pony Room. It was a delicious choice. We will be coming back again, perhaps for brunch or an earlier dinner so we can enjoy the beautiful scenery the property offers with daylight. Prices are not cheap, but for the location and dining experience, they are fair. Valet is complimentary and your server *should* not allow you to over-or-under-order given that a lot of the menu items are shareable. Drinks were above average in presentation and taste. I would recommend this restaurant for special occasion or for date night.

    I came in for dinner tonight to celebrate our 4 year dating anniversary but Rancho Valencia happens to be our wedding venue for 2024! We officially booked last month and We decided to come in tonight to celebrate. This will be the third time we’ve had dinner at the pony room. It is a little overpriced, but the quality is amazing. The food is delicious and the service is unmatched. I highly recommend.

    The Pony Room setting is lovely. Our martinis were excellent but very small. The french dip was very greasy and not really edible. The fries were cold. The wine was good but pricey at $27/glass. The waiter Manny and Elise were fabulous but I would not recommend this restaurant to others.

    One of our favorites! Love that you have to have a reservation to get in the gate. Amazing staff and service. Best salad Niçoise ever! Can’t wait to go back.
