Nestled close to Totteridge Green, The Orange Tree is a premium pub, bar, and restaurant, serving modern British dishes as well as traditional Sunday roasts. Inside, wooden furniture, fireplaces & a sleek bar give the pub a contemporary yet homey feel.

The menu brings an exciting social dining experience, featuring fresh flavours and ingredients inspired by modern world-food trends. Our large range of small plates, designed for sharing, make the perfect start to dinner and are irresistible as an impromptu bite to eat with 2 for £12 cocktails; we’ve got dishes such as sashimi-grade tuna tartare, miso aubergine bao buns and seared, wild, Atlantic scallops with lobster & crab bonbons.

Fridays and Saturdays are getting glamourous, with specials of freshly shucked rock oysters and sharing grill boards; take your pick from eight-bone free-range New Zealand lamb rack, Chateaubriand or trio of pork.

The staff are lovely Two of us sent our food back as the Chicken Roasts were like warm and tasteless. The burger was excellent

Our reservation did not turn up at the restaurant ..we did not have a table ..the service was horrible and slow ..and super frustrating

Booked table in advance for a Thursday evening and were looking forward to a good meal in a usually relaxed atmosphere with good service. Arrived and shown to the table which was so cramped in, had to ask people on table either side to squeeze in to allow us in, and chairs were back to back with chairs on next table. Asked to be moved but were told “ other tables have been specifically booked”. Ordered wine, wine glass had lipstick mark so we asked for clean glass- the waiter slammed ( no exaggeration) the wine bottle down, rolled eyes and walked off. Returned with clean glass and we thought, ok things can only get better. Starters were nice. The tuna tartare was fantastic. Mains... the pork belly was good, although served with scallops even though weren’t requested.. ( they did remove from bill when mentioned, after another eye roll), the double cooked chips were soggy, burnt and greasy and the vegetable burger was tough and rubbery. When waiter asked how the food was, he again rolled eyes, no apology and no attempt to replace. Had dessert and left... obviously could not tip the service. Have been here many many times but this time has been disappointing - they need to Reevaluate staff training on how to treat clients as not wanting to drink from a glass with someone’s lipstick is not too much to ask nor being comfortable in your seat. If they don’t have the space, then just don’t book in extra clients. Disappointed.

Was nice except service wasn’t great. Busy and staff not around. Didn’t give us plates, napkins till we asked.
