What a lovely restaurant! We went for the first time last night and had a really nice time. We will be back for sure! Super impressed - A+ all around.

Just love this place! Food was great and well presented. Great COVID protections in place and service was wonderful.

Monkey bread was comped because it took longer than usual. The staff immediately let us know they would comp us and the chef brought us another appetizer to have in the meantime. I thought that was overall an excellent experience and was not expected. The monkey bread was worth the wait. Keep up the great service.

Majestic has been a favorite restaurant of mine for many years. It was a fantastic to have a special celebration there the other night, everything was perfect | drinks were outstanding, food delicious as ever, and the evening was so well done. Thanks for being strong through the pandemic Majestic, we will be back again soon.

Really my favorite joint in old town. A real favorite and a very long term restaurant. And for good reason! It’s cozy and clubby with excellent food and service. You won’t be disappointed

The food and service were both good and enjoyable. It was a busy evening, but it was well managed and service attentive. My only pause in rating Majestic 5/5 is the noise level which forces people to speak louder to be heard or lean in a lot; in a COVID indoor seating situation, no or lower music levels would be more suitable.

This is one our favorite places to eat. The service has always been great and it didn’t disappoint this evening. My wife and I had the mussels. We were told they were the last servings they had of them and it was only 6:00 pm. They were awful. They were slimy and stuck to the shells to the point we struggled to get them out of the shell. We also had one of their “Buy local” discount cards. Either they didn’t know what it was or didn’t know how to apply the discount. Either way, the manager made us feel like we were trying to rip them off for $20.00. We will be back but won’t order the mussels.

We went during Happy Hour, the burger was amazing. It was so juicy and had so much flavor. The drinks were delicious. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend.

Our first visit to The Majestic and we loved it. The menu was a limited Christmas Day special, however, it was great. Our server, Josh, was professional, friendly, and fun. Loved the ambiance; we're looking forward to returning.

The Majestic has re-captured its glory and divine food reputation! Two of us ate there on Christmas Eve and it was outstanding! The waiter could not have been more attentive and more well-versed in both the menu and in excellent pairings with wine and cocktails. Very impressive! Don’t hesitate to go— it was romantic, it was delicious, it was lovely!

We went for Christmas Eve dinner. Love the atmosphere. Food was delicious although menu was limited. We enjoyed the staff and always save it for a special $$$ occasion!

Server was terrific - knowledgeable and just the right balance of service. Had an opinion about both wine and food which was helpful, liked his confidence. Ambience was great. Food was very good - not off the charts, but very good. Coconut cake always fabulous.

Great service from the greeting to the waiter (Hugo was great!). Interesting cocktails, the two appetizers (rolls and parsnip agnolotti) were superb! Nice romantic ambiance. HIGHLY recommended.

We had a good brunch and our bartender Daphne was amazing! My only complaint was that my food could have used more crab meat w/ a smaller English muffin and my food was cold 🥶
The manager came over to say hello which added a nice touch as well.

Was in Alexandria for a wedding and saw wonderful reviews for The Majestic. We had a tasty brunch, a bloody mary and mimosa with excellent service.

Terrible Thanksgiving dinner here. First of all, they were out of turkey and stuffing on Thanksgiving?!? Yet had no problem taking our reservation the week prior. Terrible planning on their part.

Drinks were flat, food came out at weird times, first course pasta dish was exactly the same as the side course Mac N Cheese they later brought out. Prime rib was terrible, cooked very poorly and an extremely fatty cut. Desserts were frozen and not even thawed before served. Panna cotta was like soup with an ice crust. Wouldn’t recommend going here based on our experience, which was over $150 for a thanksgiving dinner for 2. Others around us appeared to have a similar experience.

Disappointed, Family’s Thanksgiving Dinner out with no Turkey

Went for Thanksgiving—no turkey. If the “duck confit” had any duck, it was barely noticeable. Management asked if we would accept our dessert frozen. Stuffing was cold and soggy. Absolutely terrible experience. Never returning.

I ate here on Thanksgiving day. Props to the staff for managing the crowd given the oven crisis. Had it not been for COVID I have to say I would have walked out and here is why. I booked a reservation for a price fix menu however, when we ordered we were told that side vegetables were extra. I am still curious if I misread the add or of something changed however, the meal was good. I didn't realize an oven broke until I read on FB.

Thanksgiving at The Majestic was fabulous. A four course meal, with enough options for each to make everyone at the table happy. Wonderful service as well! And the line around the block for take away let us know we were in for a treat as we entered.

Bartender was great and the food was served while very hot.

Outstanding dinning experience!

This was the reopening since Covid and as expected from all ARP group restaurants the Majestic was fantastic. I have said it before and it remains very true this is one of the best run restaurant partner groups in Alexandria. Can’t wait till the new place on the waterfront opens but if you want to be sure of consistent great dining any ARP restaurant is a good choice and the Majestic is one of the best!

Delicious food. We eat plant-based (vegan) and had several options and apparently will have more in the future. Definitely recommend!

I love this place, the food is amazing, ambiance is romantic, decor is nice. A true gem in Old Towne.

Great food for the value. Old school decor gives you a 1940's, 1950's diner feel. Great establishment for dinner with friends or date night.

We really enjoyed our first time at The Majestic. It had a nice ambiance and a creative menu. We are looking forward to going back again. The menu is not large, so we're hoping that it changes on a fairly frequent basis.

The signature hamburger was excellent. Perhaps the pimento cheese on top makes the difference. My husband had the hanger steak and was pleased as well.

Food and service was very good. Menu too limited. We had appetizers and drinks but went to another restaurant for main course. Felt bad leaving.

I love The Majestic, but this most recent trip was a bit disappointing. The meat in my friend's hanger steak salad (panzanella) was so tough she couldn't eat it, and the wait for dessert (bread pudding, presumably ready or nearly ready to serve) was very, very long. (The dessert was waiting to be picked up, and we suspected it had been there for quite a while) I imagine the kitchen and wait staff are a bit stressed, which would explain all this, but I also think it's important for the kitchen and management to know that things are not running as smoothly as usual.
