Food was great and so was the service
Very different menu. Had two starters. The stem broccoli was really tasty. Good service.
Food was really tasty.. variety on menu was great.
Thoroughly enjoyed it all.
Great food and really helpful staff - ate here in early December.
Very nice place, smallish menu but high quality food. Good service. I will return
We had the most wonderful meal at The Little Shoe for a weekend away with friends on Saturday evening. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and the most delicious meal. Would highly recommend. All 6 of us would like to return when next in Liverpool to make our way through the menu. Fantastic!
Great food, lovely atmosphere and staff were very friendly. Thank you for a great evening!
Great service and beautiful food
Very fresh and seasonal food - excellent bread too
Nice family owned cafe and bakery serves selected small plates and mains for lunch. Food prepared with care to the details, nice atmosphere and helpful staff.
Been there for lunch on a Thursday, it was almost complete, so maybe better booking in advance.
Called in for breakfast on a Saturday morning to this little restaurant. It’s clearly a popular place so we booked a table to be sure of getting in. The staff were very welcoming and cheerful, the menu was extensive and the service was friendly and prompt without being rushed. The food was really lovely and price wise it’s very good value. We will be returning soon to try the lunch menu.
Amazing food, delicious coffee and friendly staff. The perfect place to meet for lunch. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Popped into here for a birthday lunch, birthday girl wasn't hungry so chose sticky toffee cake and honeycomb ice cream while I went for the crispy pigs head and the shoestring fries. The crispy pigs head was like a large pork croquette , crispy but not greasy filled with pulled pork. It was served with a fried egg and bbq sauce. It was a delight to eat. I was less impressed with the shoestring fries , they were definitely shoestring and there was plenty of them , just too crispy for me.
The sticky toffee cake was just the right side of sweet and the honeycomb ice cream was delicious. As it was lunchtime I had a coffee, which was very good.
This is definitely somewhere I will be coming back to especially since I had been eyeing up the BLT served at the next table!
This was a last minute booking but we were really pleased we had decided to try it. The bread was delicious and had it been earlier in the day I would probably have bought a loaf to take home. We were both pleased with the food and wine we ordered. Service was spot on - not intrusive but there when needed. This is only a small bistro but they have avoided the temptation to fit in too many tables. Will definitely go again.
Great food and ambiance. Restaurant quiet so service and attention excellent. Will be going back!
Lovely food . Good service. Nice music. Would go again.
Great food, great atmosphere and I would highly recommend!
We had the combo breakfast and full English, both meals where tasty.
Would go again.
Renamed ‘Little Shoe’ and with a new evening menu for Thursday - Saturday. Fans of the food in East Avenue Bakehouse will not be disappointed! Amazingly, news has not got out there that they are open in the evenings and it was very quiet (hence the 3 stars for ambience). However, it won’t be long before it is as popular as the daytime menu. We had starters of shrimp and gin cured salmon followed by lamb. All the food was excellent, really tasty, rich and well cooked. All of the accompaniments were as delicious as the main ingredient and the star of the show, the borlotti beans in garlic. Good value for money and as usual, great service. Would thoroughly recommend.
Really enjoyed our breakfast there! The home baked bread is amazing and really gives breakfast an edge over other places.
There was a great variety for breakfast ,all very fresh and healthy. Service was very good and staff were very helpful. Well worth the visit , in fact went twice more after. five stars!
We have eaten here before and loved it, however, this visit we were not so impressed as the first. The food was lovely, however, one of the chef's friends decided to drop in and stand by where the food was served. He proceeded to have a conversation with the chef the whole time he was cooking the food and this person was loud and quite rude. As a paying customer I didn't appreciate having someone stand over where my food was being served who didn't need to be there. It was very off putting and would make me think twice about recommending the East Avenue Bakehouse to a friend.
Exxcellent sunday lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. Good quality ingredients all freshly prepared.
First visit, nice atmosphere, food very nice and service was pleasant and helpful. Would go back again.
We went there around 11am, for a sunday brunch. Food and service was amazing. I recommend the chia seed bread especially. Only problem was that the reservation we made through OpenTable didn't work, but we were lucky and waited only for 15 mins. Around 12pm the waiting queue got longer and longeeerr.. so, plan accordingly!
Went for brunch, we all had the Ultimate breakfast which was delicious and we will definitely be going back.
Loved everything about our visit, the food and staff were fantastic.
Such a good breakfast venue - light and airy, great food and friendly service. We were visiting Liverpool for the weekend and liked it so much, we came back on the second day.
Lovely friendly and clean facilities. Our family breakfast after a night out at the Echo Arena for my husbands birthday was just what we needed. We had spent a much less than restful night in a hired apartment on Trinity Square-not to be repeated. The Bakehouse restored are equilibrium. Lovely place and great bread!
Great location
Good service and food
went for Easter Sunday..there were 5 adults and 2 babies the staff couldn't do enough for us all and made everyone so welcome.
food was delicious and arrived in a reasonable time
would defo recommends and will certainly be returning.
well done to all the staff.
Great atmosphere. Lovely food. We met a friend for breakfast. The food was delicious, the service friendly without being intrusive . The only other comment was that on a cold day it was quite cold in the restaurant but otherwise great.
Delicious Sunday lunch here. Would definitely recommend. Portions were really good and loved how they do a smaller portion for children. Staff v friendly and just a lovely experience. Thanks. Xx
Excellent food friendly staff relaxed atmosphere and great value for money
We went to East Avenue Bakehouse for brunch/Sunday Lunch and it was great!!
The food was excellent and the service was exceptional.
Will certainly go back when next in Liverpool.
booked this restaurant for 930am and the doors were still shut. we eventually went to a nearby cafe called Love Thy Neighbour. The TripAdvisor add for this cafe was opens at 8am. Really disappointed.
Breakfast was delicious, tea was hot and service was friendly and relaxed.
Great food, friendly staff, relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Love the fact that there's a bakery on site and the kitchen is in full view. Slight disappointment with some luke warm coffee but these were replaced swiftly and politely by staff, by piping hot versions. Bravo EAB, all of my group said they would return.
Booked in advance, but waited nearly an hour to give our orders. Then it took a further 40 minutes for breakfast to arrive. It was not a busy day, but as I've visited 6 times in the past, I have to say service is always very slow. Overall good food & nice staff but delay in service.
Excelent, make a reservation for day 1 en after that for the next day.
Perfect meal, personel and service.
