The King’s Head Inn is a privately-owned Cotswolds inn and dates back to the 16th century when it was originally built as a cider house. Owners, Archie and Nicola Orr-Ewing, have devoted an extraordinary amount of time and energy to restoring and improving this beautiful pub over the past 12 years. Open fires welcome you in the winter and in the spring and summer the gloriously picturesque village green with the brook running through it and the ducks and bantams wandering freely around creates an idyllic setting for the Inn. The King’s Head Inn is a great place for a relaxing drink or delicious food and with its twelve attractive bedrooms also makes it an excellent place to stay if you are looking for the finest Cotswold Bed and Breakfast. We feature in the Michelin Pub Guide, The Good Food Guide and are on the front cover of The Good Pub Guide 2012.

Having already catered for numerous cocktail parties, weddings and events at the Kings Head, we would now like to offer the same experience but at the location of your choice. Fantastic lunch in a brilliant pub. The food was amazing and the ambience was just right. Will definitely come again. One of our favourites!

Given a warm welcome. Friendly and efficient service. Good ambiance and reasonable value for money food. Only real drawback was that there was nowhere to park on a cold and wet evening.

Always a pleasure to have Sunday lunch here. Excellent roast beef. Some very well priced interesting red wines available

Some parts of the dishes were delicious, some tasteless. Delicious scotch egg surrounded by very watery and unseasoned lentils. Meat board OK, but not generous enough. Fantastic duo of lamb with dauphinois and cabbage. Fish and chips, OK Rhubarb and custard panacotta - a few pieces of poached rhubarb served alongside a regular (rather tasteless) panacotta (where’s the custard?) Beer nothing special, Saul Blanc ok (cold at least!) Service fine.

Another amazing meal delivered at the King Head. We love coming here as the food and service is always excellent. Despite an early booking the place was busy with a lovely hustle and bustle. Starter of fish cakes were delicious as was my husbands (I can’t remember the name. Came in a puff pastry parcel). However I did remember the roast beef and Yorkshire’s (huge). The carrots were a star unto themselves cooked in star anise which really life a plain carrot into something else. Generous thick cut sirloin of beef and cauliflower cheese. Really lovely service. We were never left thirsty with many a top up. Great friendly service. We will be back. Thank you.

We love this pub! It’s our local. Always great service. Always friendly and amenable. Great food! Burger night is fantastic. Quality, tasty burgers.
