Fantastic restaurant. Loved the food, it was so fresh. My girlfriend and I loved everything about the place.
everything was great.
Amazing dinner and dessert
This place is such a gem in park slope. The best restaurant in Park Slope by far. The pastas are incredible. I only wish I found them sooner. My fiancé found them last year and we have been going ever since. Daniel and the crew are nothing short of amazing. I am Italian, so consider myself a fair judge of Italian food growing up with this cuisine and having traveled al through Italy as well. Please patronize and support this wonderful gem!
The food here is beyond amazing, and the ambiance is very cozy and romantic. I've been here three times now, and you can tell there's a ton of care put into every dish, and it's an authentic menu.
My only issue the past two times has been the service. The last time I visited they were clearly overbooked and maybe understaffed, so I can understand how they weren't at the top of their game. But this most recent visit was a bit frustrating in that our server disappeared after the second course, and clearly had forgotten to put in the order for our third course. We ended up waiting more than 45 minutes, despite being one of only three tables dining in.
I'll definitely eat there again, just hoping they can tighten up service a bit more.
One of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time. Excellent wine; simple, elegant food made with true craft and top quality ingredients. Warm, friendly, knowledgeable staff and cozy rustic ambience to round it out. Will definitely be back, and have already recommended to several people. If you like food, you will not be disappointed!
Everything was wonderful along with the wine recommendations.
The food was as good as ever, the wine even better. So glad they have survived the pandemic with no loss of quality or friendliness.
Terre was a disappointment. We had a reservation for 7:45 and were seated at 8:50–more than an hour later! We had been told to come at 8:15 to make sure our table outside would be available. But that still meant we were waiting more than 30 minutes. The whole point of making a reservation is to avoid this situation!! In fact, I don’t think I have ever experienced this in my life.
They knew they had messed up. They had expected another table to leave beforehand but guess what? If not a single table leaves within an hour, that is simply poor planning. We could have been seated inside but it’s pandemic times and we weren’t ready for indoor dining yet—and we had requested an outdoor table from the beginning.
So we finally sit down, absolutely famished, and they give us a glass of Prosecco on the house. Which was nice but we’re just too hungry to enjoy it. And there’s no free bread at this Italian restaurant—bread and olive oil is $13! The waiter pushes the special which was pasta in a lobster bisque with crabmeat. It sounded very good—and the flavors were nice but there was only a hint of crab in there—it was more of an appetizer than a main. All the food was slow to arrive. My girlfriend and I shared an appetizer (truffle burrata and prosciutto a.k.a regular burrata with an infinitesimal amount of truffle powder on top), the seafood pasta and octopus (which was good) and then had the world’s smallest tiramisu for dessert. I had asked whether what we ordered was going to be enough for two people and I was assured it was. I have never spent so much to be so hungry by the end of the meal.
The servers were polite and seemed to be sorry for everything. But there are three problems here: poor management of tables, a slow kitchen, and overpriced, small portions. The flavors themselves were good and the “orange” wine we had was very interesting. But until they address the three problems above, this restaurant will be unsatisfactory.
Great date night place in back garden. Super service and engaging team. Lovely wine and food. My only reason for not 5 stars is the place was packed. During covid reopening they need to be reduce capacity to 50% for now.
Amazing service and great food & wine
We had high expectations for Terre Pasta but were disappointed. We both went for a different special pasta dish. Stuffed gnocchi and fish carbonara. The gnocci was the better of the two. The fish carbonara was extremely salty and barely acceptable. We also had a bottle of the restaurant's equivalent to Prosecco. However, it wasn't as good as traditional Prosecco (it was actually sour do to the infusion of citrus). We blame ourselves for the wine choice, as I'm sure the restaurant has many better Italian wines to choose from.
Fantastic food (the pasta is amazing) and an impressive natural wine selection with warm and friendly service in a quaint, intimate setting. Felt like I was back in Italy.
The best natural wine selection; beautiful garden; wonderful owner and staff
great service. had specials that were good wine list is amazing. server even recommended some wines of the list! vibe is really nice bigger in the back then expected. only thing it is a bit pricey but worth the overall service!
The pasta was absolutely incredible, and we eat a lot of pasta. Our server was wonderful - friendly and very helpful with recommending wines. It's a little pricey but worth it. We can't wait to go back.
The food and service was amazing. Will definitely come back!
Great food, wine, and service. Beautiful ambiance inside and in the backyard. 10/10 would return
Amazing food and wine. I’m obsessed with bolognese and their beef bolognese was definitely top 5 for me. Grilled octopus was also super good and crispy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would 100% go back. Small and intimate restaurant perfect for dates
I decided to end my boyfriends bday weekend celebration at Terre and it was the such a great decision.
Everything was great- from the ambiance, greeting we received when walking in, the explanations of different wines & their originations, food pairings and in house made balsamic vinaigrette.
We ended up trying the cheese & balsamic vinaigrette tastings, bruschetta, the gnocchi with truffle pasta -they even added shrimp in it for us and a glass of red wine.
We will be back ! 10/10
Always a pleasure to eat at Terre! Will continue to dine here.
The ambiance was amazing and the food was sooooo delicious and tasted like truly authentic Italian like I was in Italy....
Gluten free pasta tasted like actual pasta. Our server did an amazing job recommending which wine would go with our meal. Looking forward to returning soon!
Amazing pasta
Fantastic food in a lovely ambience with friendly and helpful staff :)
Our experience at Terre was wonderful from start to finish! The backyard garden was beautifully set-up for outdoor dining with strong heat lamps--we even felt warm enough to take our jackets off. Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable of the wine list and even let us taste three different styles of orange wines, since we were new to that style. For dinner, we started with the balsamic tasting (3 types of cheese, 3 types of balsamic vinegar, sourdough), then had the gnocchi with black truffle and burrata and the tagliolini with the venison ragu, and finished with the tiramisu. Would definitely recommend all of it again! We can't wait to go back and take friends.
Food was excellent and service was superb
Incredible. Thank you for an overall great experience! Cheers!
We absolutely love this place! Best Italian in NYC
10/10 service, perfect atmosphere
Delicious food, amazing wine, & overall ambience was lovely. Great place for dates or with a group of friends.
Great food and wine! The staff was so warm and welcoming. Felt safe with spacing outside and also warm with the heat lamps. I am gluten intolerant and they had GREAT gf options! Hands down will keep coming back here
We had a fantastic dinner tonight - even given the cold temps. A friend of mine and my 4 year old daughter had appetizers, diner and dessert, along with fantastic wine, and service!
Unbelievable service! Can’t wait to go back.
great wine & cheese
We ordered all of the specials, and were in for a VERY surprising check.
$42 - a plate of 6 pieces of bread, topped with cheese, with a side of 3 different tastings of balsamic vinegar. $21 would have been expensive but understandable. $42 is robbery
$45 - Quail
$37 - Lasagna
Very kind and hospitable staff! Really tasty food! Would come back!
Great place, amazing staff, and wonderful food
Terre is a favorite date spot for me and my husband. The pasta is absolutely delicious and as close to the taste and quality of Italy that is possible for NYC. I love discovering the wine. Terre have so many amazing bottles that they are the best judges of what pairs well. Italian wine and cuisine are a marriage that can be really appreciated here. It’s not just food, it’s culture and I feel lucky I can visit “Italy” at Terre.
My favorite place! Great place for any occasion but very intimate and romantic for a date ! Great staff , great food, delicious wine!
Highly recommend!
