Chef Howard is a two-time James Beard Foundation Best Chef: Southwest finalist, earning the distinction in 2024 and 2026. Sparrow + Wolf was also recently named MICHELIN Selected in the inaugural MICHELIN Guide American Southwest.

Everything was wonderful, food, service, ambiance…especially my date! Most delicious food. We did have a love/hate relationship with the beet infused cocktail. Also, the Japanese sweet potato seemed suspiciously like just a potato. Our waitress delivered when we asked for a fire and smoke conclusion to our meal…Amazing experience. 10/10.

I’m giving this rating based on the couple times we have been there. We are local, we had a few friends in town a few months ago and decided to make reservations and we had the full tasting menu for eight people. It was a good experience. food is extremely chef driven, and everyone enjoyed their time. So my wife and I decided for our anniversary to start our evening at sparrow and Wolf this time and not do the tasting menu and just go off the menu. This restaurant has become overly complicated and the food has suffered. For two people with tip $400 the food is extremely complicated, not seasoned enough bland in some cases, and really the chef has overcomplicated the actual food. There’s no simplicity everything has to be explained and for the amount of money that they charge and the clientele just being in tennis shoes and T-shirts it definitely isn’t an experience worth the money and the food certainly does not have the value. We go to many restaurants in the city. We’ve experienced the most expensive and the most high-end as well as food trucks and anything else you can imagine. I would certainly not recommend this restaurant if you appreciate value, if you appreciate overly cheffed food, complicated menus, extremely creative yet unexciting cocktails, and if you enjoy paying for a chef‘s vision that is gone beyond the actual taste of the food, and just a belief of the hype that this restaurant had and deservingly so when it first opened. We will not be back, we will not recommend the restaurant any longer. It has definitely jumped the shark. On the last note, when I made the reservation, I said it was for my anniversary. No care whatsoever a tiny table in the middle of the room sitting across from each other not one mention.

Disappointed. Embarrassed. Awful experience. Client dinner. Service was slow. Steak severely undercooked. Comped us water and bread. What a joke. Optics v. Substance. Never again!! Some many other options. DO BETTER.

This was an absolute incredible the Agricole and culinary experience from the cocktails all the way through to the dessert. What an amazing amazing dinner experience. Highly recommended.

Great restaurant! We had the tasting menu and wine pairing. With one exception, everything was spectacular. The exception is the rabbit was gritty and tasteless, though the sauce was delicious. A word of caution, if you cancel less than 24 hours before the reservation, the restaurant will charge you credit card $25 per person. On the bright, the restaurant gives you a credit in the amount charged that will be applied when you eat there in the future.

The carpaccio was one of the best thing that I’ve ever had in my life. All the sauces were fantastic. Food was great, oxtail, hummus, delicious.
