Atmosfera affascinante

Chef and owners Aniello Bortone and Reth have worked in unison for the past 10 years across a number of Sydney’s most popular restaurants.

Hailing from the humble town of Aversa next to Napoli, Nello grew up watching his family make traditional Neapolitan dishes, this is where his love of food began.

Working alongside Reth, also a chef and the front face of Semola, his enthusiasm for impeccable customer service and quality ingredients shines through. The dynamic duo are an authentic representation of what it means to eat and breathe true Italian food.

We had a selection of starters and mains and each dish was exceptional. Quality food with perfect portion sizes. Oysters on special were amazing, best we've had in a while. And service was excellent. Highly recommend.

I love this place and always make it a priority to visit whenever I’m back in Australia. The food is authentically Italian, consistently delicious, and the specials never disappoint. On top of that, the staff provide friendly, attentive service that makes every visit a pleasure. If you want, I can also make it shorter, more enthusiastic, or more formal depending on where you’re posting it.

Definitely won't be disappointed when dining at this restaurant. The service is impeccable and the food is just so delicious in every way. The menu is very simple, but won't head home starving. Have been back several times already, as I just want to try everything they have to offer. All their pasta's are hand made, and you can even purchase their pasta's and other items as well. Please put this on your bucket list of restaurants to try out, as you'll definitely want to come back with friends for them to try as well.

Beautiful meal - had the tonnato and calamari, both excellent, the pasta meals were also delicious & the barramundi & brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly. The service was also very good. Only negative is we were too full to have dessert ..

Our table was outside and the road noise was bearable and we could have good conversations Food came quickly and it was a reasonable portion and very tasty Our waiter presented the menus nicely with plenty of options however was a tad opinionated when it came to what ice creams matched My partner wanted hazelnut with lemon sorbet but was deterred from having it saying they don’t go together. Well the taste was perfect Thank you for a great dinner Will recommend
