   What a pleasant surprise! We started at a high top 2 seater but switched to the bar because that's how we roll. Bartender Juju was entertaining, friendly and professional. The atmosphere is upscale but inviting. A great and varied menu. We stuck to nigiri, tataki and sashimi and everything we tried was excellent. Especially the Ube desert!! Dear god, you must try it.

   Anniversary dinner with my beautiful wife and it was great. Tuna flight sashimi was beautifully presented, and kimchi waygu beef dumplings so good. Maki rolls and vegetable tempura were nothing special however. Service was outstanding. Champaign and dessert were comped for our celebration.

    The food at Roku Akor is simply magnificent. Each dish was better than the next. Amazing fish quality merged with innovative sauces and sices. Two reasons I havne't given a full 5 star rating: the restaaurant was quitie loud, making it difficult at times to hold a conversation; and, the service was quite rushed. We had barely finsihed one course when the next was presented. Wanted a little more time to savor the dish longer

    We had such a wonderful experience! Every bite from the cold plates to the dessert was absolutely incredible and the service was just as good. We had the yellowtail with ponzu, grilled octopus, crispy squid, scallop dynamite roll and striploin with a truffle sauce. For dessert we had the Ube Pot de Crème and the Chocolate lava cake. The dishes were elevated and every flavor was delicious with perfectly paired ingredients. The cocktails were delicious, light and refreshing. We were also treated with complimentary champagne and dessert for our anniversary. Our waiter was so helpful, attentive and kind. The food runners explained each dish as they were served and the buss staff was extremely attentive and quick to fill our waters and clear our plates. Amazing service, amazing food- highly recommend.

    I was so excited to dine at Roka Akor and left disappointed. Our server was excellent and watching the chefs is a fun experience. All of the sushi/sashimi we ordered was outstanding, but we didn’t think the wagyu steak or the fish main entrees were anything special. The dessert was a big hit. We would go back for sushi, but skip the entrees.

    Food was amazing as always. Service was uncharacteristicly below par. Our server mis-ordered two dishes, forgot a drink, and was overall not very attentive. Our outside table was next to the door and a server prep area, so ambiance was a little sub-par as well. Too bad, this is usually one of our go-to spots for a nice dinner but this visit didn’t measure up.

    All of the food we had was marvelous. We started with the Eggplant and Miso Soup. Then we had our usual… Blackened Cod and Spare Ribs with sides of Tempura Vegetables and rice. And followed it up with a delicious Lava Cake.

    Made and paid for a reservation. Did not get an actual table. sat us in the lounge which was basically a couch with a low table in front of it. Super uncomfortable. Did not help with the first date I was on. Only had appetizers and left to have dinner at a different restaurant. Service was sub par. Food was amazing.

    We decided to eat at the counter to watch the chef's. It was such a cool experience. They were friendly and answered any questions we asked abouy what was being prepared or why they were preparing things in certain ways.

    The food was great, the service was good, though the servers were a bit overly busy. The noise level was very high making it hard to have a conversation. It was a bit pricey, but overall a good experience.

    Excellent food and great service. The cod was amazing and the sushi and nigiri high quality and so flavorful. Will definitely repeat for the omakse menu for the ultimate foodgasm.

    We were in town for Spring Training and lucked out eating here. It was fantastic, the food, service and drinks were all exceptional. Highly recommend but not inexpensive!

    We did the Omakase. Every course was fantastic. The pork belly, tempura lobster, and Kobe wagyu was incredible. Our server Alex paired the dishes with his selection of wine, which was also great. It was very expensive, but great food and excellent service.

    This is a favorite in Scottsdale. The Sushi is very fresh and some of the best. There any unique dishes that make the food special. From the Pork Belly to the Ube Pot de Creme and everything in between, your taste buds will be happy, happy, happy. If you enjoy different flavors and textures, this is a place for you. I've never had Pork Belly that actually melts in your mouth. The steaks and fish are high quality and prepared to enhance the natural flavors. I really could go on describing each dish and making you hungry but I won't! Just GO! Your entire experience will be a delight not soon forgotten!
