   I would not have picked this restaurant for Christmas dinner had I known it was just a hotel lobby restaurant. Servers seemed a little confused as to who was working my table. The servers were nice though. Menu should have had more seafood options. The Bourbon glazed pork chops were tasty, however temperature of food should have been warmer. No bread was offered, but that's typical for hotel lobby restaurants

   Looking for a nice, quiet place with a view for breakfast with our son, daughter-in-law and grandson is not an easy task. But, Quarterdeck is just perfect for that - great table by the window and plenty of boats in the harbor for our grandson to gaze at while he eats. Jesus was our server and he was just outstanding - great service, paid attention to special requests and is just a really nice guy. The reason for 4 is just because the food came out a little cool and the sausages were a bit of a "mystery meat" - maybe they were turkey sausage or something else. Having said that, we will definitely come back - just won't order the sausages at breakfast. Thanks again for a nice morning.

   The restaurant provided an ambiance atmosphere and was relaxing. At arrival and during service could tell they were short staffed. Our server Steven started out amazing and while he tried to stay on top of things I could tell he was overwhelmed. The food was good, nothing special about it.

   I wanted a quiet place to have lunch with a friend who was recuperating from a heart attack. This was the perfect place. It was quiet, beautiful and peaceful. The food was fine and the service great.

    The food arrived cold and overcooked. It was my husband’s birthday and they brought him a piece of cake but to my surprise they charged us $10 for it even though nobody at the table asked for it. Drinks and oysters were good. Views are spectacular. Unfortunately we will probably not go again unless it’s just for cocktails.

    I made reservations for breakfast for 4 at 10:30 for Mother’s Day. My mother arrived first & they gave her a set price buffet menu at $75 per head. She told me about it when we got there so I went to talk to a floor manager, who apologized but said they weren't serving breakfast, just the buffet. We went back & forth but really, we were stuck. So we stayed but it set the tone for me. I'd asked that the GM come to the table - he didn't by the time we'd finished so I asked again. He came over & apologized but said there was nothing he could do, that the website is run by a 3rd party & may or may not be accurate & that they expect guests to know that they’d only serve brunch & not breakfast on special occasions like Easter or Mother’s Day. I’m not sure how he expected that the customer would know the restaurant’s hours/specials/etc - sounds ridiculous to me. After more back & forth, I asked if he could discount the check - at first he said no, but then came back & said he'd take 20% off which I accepted. He came back again & told us he'd taken one full meal off. I appreciate that gesture but it should have come earlier - instead of stonewalling me. The food was average, the experience was less than that, & we won’t be back.

    We were at the Quarterdeck for dinner on Sunday afternoon. The service was extremely slow. They were short-handed, but they completely forgot we were there. We had tried eating there last year and made reservations, but the restaurant wasn't open when we arrived. This restaurant is off our list!!!

    The Salmon was delicious. Very attentive service and a good selection of food. A little pricey, but you are on the water.

    Food was very good, especially the pork chop and Staff was very friendly. Busy night but they accommodated everything. They have happy hour prices on drinks and appetizers and great outdoor seating.

    Small venue and small table and outdoor area. Service fair with mixed up orders and forgotten items by waitress. This occurred during early hours in evening. Good happy hour with great bargains on food.

    Arrived at 6pm for our dinner reservation for 2. Were seated promptly. About 6:20 our order was taken. At 6:40 when we asked where our cocktails were we were told they'd been given to someone else! When we still didn't have our drinks and dinner by 7:10 we left.

    Beautiful setting on the San Diego Bay front. Very accommodating for my girlfriend who has food allergies. Food was excellent. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!

    Steaks were good. Service very nice. View outside to marina lovely. But place needs a renovation . Extremely casual— t- shirt and shorts. We were overdressed.

    We love the the Quarterdeck Restaurant at the Bay Club Hotel and Marina We've been dining there for many years. It's the perfect casual spot with great food (steaks, salmon, etc), excellent service, and a great view of the marina. We love spending time here before concerts at Humphrey's by the Bay.

    Very nice experience. We requested a table outside by the pool. Staff was concerned that it was cool outside and made sure we wanted to be outside. Very relaxing with view of the marina . Nice back drop of a concert going on next door. Service was excellent. Looking forward to going back and sitting on the patio.

    Pork chop was good, coconut shrimp mostly inedible, ahi burger served with burnt bun. Garlic potatoes nondescript. Clam chowder luke warm but very good. Service slow. Willing to overlook as help is hard to find these days.

    The service was good, but the food quality was not good. The fish and chips tasted like they were previously frozen and warmed in a microwave. The mashed potatoes were cold and lumpy. The lemon cake was very good.

    Very disappointing. Looking at the Marina and our waitress were the saving graces. The food was terrible. Fish was obviously frozen and deep fried before serving. Appetizers and soup so so. Turkey on sandwich was too thick. The menu could be much better. We were looking for a nice birthday luncheon and was not only disappointed, but embarrassed.

    It needs to be explained that this is a restaurant in a hotel and not a rooftop/outdoor/roofdeck environment. this is important because its not a social situation and is a bit off the beaten path.

    Great view of the Marina on Shelter Island, excellent service, good food. Thankfully the Bay Club got rid of its former restaurant manager, who was not playing with a full deck. It's much nicer now, the staff is happy and so are the customers. Best part about the Quarterdeck Restaurant right now? They have outdoor seating by the pool, with great social distancing. It is very safe. And really relaxing.

    We enjoyed our food and service, but too bad some very loud and boisterous children and adults decided to play games in the pool shortly after we were served. Next time we won't sit near the pool. (funny that we haven't encountered this in the past and have dined here many times)
