It may be unfair to rate this experience so poorly; going in you know that you are cooking your own food. For someone who loves this style of food, Qiao Lin may be great. However, for us, the broths and the meat were mediocre in terms of flavor and to get everything to turn out well you will have needed to go several times or be with someone who had. Even then, the flavors were meyahhh. Well below average wine list, stark lighting.

Our second time in Chicago and our second time at Qiao Lin. Great food and great times. Tim was an amazing server and really helped us out.

We love this restaurant. Great for groups. For this visit, we were seated right under a speaker (table E 3) and the music was way too loud.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the presentation made the whole experience so exciting because every dish was beautifully decorated. The service was good.

I had never tried hotpot before Qiao Lin. It was really good and a fascinating experience. The location is great, just off the Magnificent Mile. The interior is very large, modern and spotless. The food was all good - our party of 3 ordered 3 different meats and agreed that the garlic chicken is the best.

Was a great meal, broth was yummy, high quality meat and vegetables. The floors were sticky and slippery but I’ll still go there again.
