   Food was fine but the service was atrocious. Place was dead and we wait over 30 minutes for our first round of drinks, and then for the second round. Never got the dessert menu after asking for it.

   We were unfamiliar with the area and had just driven in from four hours away for a quick trip to KC. This was our first stop and it was a perfect one! The hostess (Thierry?) and our waitress (Ezzi?) were both so very nice and helpful. The food was great and we loved the vibe! Will eat there again!

   From the moment that hostess Tierney warmly greeted us, my family and I felt like we were honored guests in a stylish home. The service was outstanding and every member of the staff made it a point to greet us. The pear bruschetta and pepardelle with pork ragout were exceptional, which we paired with the fabulous Italian cocktails. Save room for dessert, especially the olive oil cake and limoncello cake. The service, atmosphere and food really make Plate stand out; and it’s our new favorite!

   This place awesome! Very upscale and modern at the same time. They have a great bar and ambience for a quiet night put with friends, a date or special occasion. Food is delicious and portions are perfect. Price is very good for being as nice a restaurant as it is. It was my Birthday and my server gave me a $20 gift card as my present which was the icing on the cake! Definitely a great experience and will be returning very soon!

   This is a VERY high end restaurant. Excellent service and tasty food. The cost is very high!! You have to pay for bread...remember when that was part of the meal. Everything is a la carte. Easily $400-500 for a group of 6 with a few apps, only two sides to share, a few salads and a drink or two/person. They also add a 2.75% fee to offsite the charge to use a credit card which they don't share upfront. It's hard to hear each other speak at your table since it's very noisy. That said, the server was superb, the timing of serving was perfect and the food yummy.

   Food was incredible! The noise level was really high! I wish they sat big groups on the sides of the restaurant rather than in the middle… it was deafening.

   First and last time I’ll be going there. Woof. It took an hour and 20min for a salad, fries and cinnamon rolls to make it to our table. We were one of maybe 5 other tables. When I asked the waiter how much longer he took it very personally and said “well I am not the one who cooks it,” great, never said you did I was simply asking how much longer Oh, and they pass the credit card processing fee onto your check. No thanks ✌🏼

    We loved everything but the music. (loud, repetitive, techno) Shiloh took great care of us. His recommendations were outstanding. Everyone really does need to eat the garlic bread. It's outrageously good. We highly recommend it!

    Our server was absolutely amazing I wish I could remember his name. He was engaging, and made amazing recommendations. The food was delicious, and the pre fix pasta menu is such a steal!

    I've written positive reviews about Plate before, and this one's gonna be no different. I took my bestie to dinner there for her birthday and we were treated like royalty. I'm not saying that you will be, too, but it could happen. I requested my favorite server, Sean W., who was there by chance, so lucky us! We ordered the truffle gnocchi (and you should, too - the gnocchi is like little potato clouds, they're so perfectly crafted) and some cocktails. Ordered our entrées and she had the pappardelle with pork shoulder ragu (again, you should, too - rich and deeply-flavored from long-cooking), I had the filet. I chose to get the pepperonata on the side and I'm glad I did because I'm not crazy about strongly-flavored bell pepper sauces. I like a naked steak (usually). But I felt my steak was more medium than mid-rare, which is how I like it. Stephanie, the manager, came to the table and thanked me for providing her with a coachable moment in the kitchen (and at the table), and chatted with us while I awaited the arrival of my new, rarer, steak. She is marvelously simpatico and as Sean put it, she has a wonderful spirit. It's clear she loves her job. We had a great time talking to her, and as a bonus, she brought us a small portion of the truffle butter, which ended up making my steak even better. At the end, we left feeling buoyant (and with a little gift for each of us) and my BFF was delighted I'd chosen that restaurant to fête her. Bottom line: The food is great, the attention to detail makes the guest feel welcome, and the service is the best in the city, and I've been to a LOT of restaurants in this town. Thank you for another terrific evening, Stephanie, Sean and Christian, and the rest of the FOH and BOH team! We'll, of course, be back.

    Overall very good! We had a group of 8 - tried several appetizers and loved them all, as well as the main courses. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The portions were on the smaller side, but everything was delicious. The only thing I would’ve changed is the noise level - the background music was pretty loud and subsequently so was the whole restaurant, which made it difficult to hear conversation. This is obviously a personal preference, but something to consider if you’re hoping for a quiet or more intimate evening.

    This trip to Plate in Brookside was again an exceptional visit! Our waitress was excellent , made some recommendations that were on point! The scallops with mushroom risotto was incredible! Perfect place for yummy food, tasty drinks/wine, and excellent service. Love they remember you and placed us in a nice booth with the original Plate artwork (from original location) A little pricey but so worth it!!

    Super loud, hard to converse with the person right across from you. Waitress was so busy she barely saw us. I wanted to order wine but never got a chance during our whole meal (30 minutes without even talking to her). So it was nice and food was good but just too loud and too busy

    We made a last minute reservation and stayed 20 min after close, and the members of the restaurant treated us with love and respect the whole time, by far the best food I’ve ever tasted the best service etc.

    This was our first visit to The Plate. My husband and I, my daughter and her family. We all enjoyed the meal even the teens. The bruschetta was amazing but everything was tasty and we enjoyed sharing the dishes among us. Our waiter was personable and knew the particulars about every dish which made it easier to order. The table behind us was loud but we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

    I was thoroughly impressed with my experience at Plate KC. I made a reservation easily through open table. Upon arrival when I learned happy hour was limited to the bar area, the waiting staff was super accommodating and rearranged the high tops so we could reap the benefits of HH. Our server was very patient, attentive, and friendly. Most importantly the food was absolutely delicious- a perfect take on modern Italian! Not to mention the happy hour dishes are of wonderful value. I’ll definitely be back again soon!

    We had a reservation for 4 people at plate, but our friends cancelled last minute so arrived and told them 2 people, the host wouldn't seat us and said there were no tables available (this was a Sunday night..). We were able to get two stools at the bar. The bartender was nice, he was VERY busy as he was the only one for the entire restaurant, but we had pretty good service regardless. The food was unimpressive. We ordered the piatto di formaggi (cheese plate), it had a few sauces and nuts, but two TINY pieces of cheese (two bites). The food was okay, not special. We probably won't try it again.

    The food was amazing! We loved the black truffle gnocci and bread. The noise level was louder than what I expected to the point the server struggled to hear me but it was the weekend after Valentine's Day so that may have played into it. Our server and entire staff were on top of it. It was really great to be at a restaurant again that values service as so many seem to be just getting by.

    Meghan greeted us at the door and checked on us. She was very friendly. Emmeline was our server and did a fantastic job. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. We had the panna cotta and foccocia that where both fantastic! I would recommend plate to anyone.

    Food was great (that truffle gnocchi is a miracle!), but the service outshone everything about Plate. Sean W. is the best server I've ever had in my long life and long career of restaurant dining and restaurant work. I've notified the management and ownership because that kind of professionalism and perfection in doing what many think is a menial job (and no, it isn't) is not only rare, it's something I've never experienced before our Valentine's Day dinner last night. I'm happy to sing the praises of good food, good service and good hiring practices. If Sean wanted to make the hospitality industry his career, he'd be a welcome permanent denizen. Plate has done well with this young man (and the rest of the service was also excellent: every plate of hot food was piping hot when it came to our table! Our water never got below 1" from the rim of the glass! Our used plates and utensils were swept away quietly and quickly!), and we've dined there numerous times. People like Sean will keep us coming back. Happy to give a great review to a great restaurant and a wonderful server! Thank you again!

    Food was great. The restaurant was very loud. It was hard to communicate with my date. Our server had a difficult time hearing us. I had the Moderno salad and the Alaskan Halibut. Both were excellent. My date had the salmon and it was very good.

    Happened to be there at the same time as a fund raiser for homeless children so it was busy. Strip steak, Pork shoulder and romaine salad. Only comment was concerning the parking....not the best but the restaurant in in the inter city so it is what it is.
