   The food is always good at one ☝️ and they welcome dogs which is great Do wish they would bring back the pork hash with poached egg as it was amazing this will become a regular visit

   Excellent quality food, high praise to the chef. Sadly not so high praise for the service. Our party was squashed onto a small round table which felt inadequate for 4 adults. All other tables reserved so couldn't move to another table. Also, after our order was taken, it somehow wasn't put through to the kitchen so we had to wait a very long time for our main meal. However, on the plus side we were each offered a complimentary soft drink to compensate for the mix up. We took a risk and ordered desserts but alas once again the wait was way too long which is a shame. Go for the fantastic food but be prepared to wait if visiting at a weekend. Or maybe we just got unlucky!

   Had to leave as only two highchairs in whole restaurant and both were being used already. Unmanageable with two small children. Such a shame and made the day very difficult for us add we’d planned to have lunch. Would be great if One Garden could invest in a supply of highchairs reasonable for the size of the restaurant.

We are now back to business as usual and have a supply of highchairs in the restaurant Please do come and visit us again and on booking always leave a note for us , we will make sure you have what you require

   Don't book after 2:30 as the kitchen stops serving food....even though they accept bookings after 2:30!!? Service was really poor - food arrived before drinks order was taken, drinks then had to be chased as waitress had forgotten them, most of the tables were still dirty from previous customers and the waitress was extremely overfamiliar, to the point of annoyance. Thank god for the chefs as the food was decent. Such a shame as this place used to be so good.

   The food is lovely, but the service is cold, unwelcoming, and inattentive. The maitre d' (or floor manager) is particularly unwelcoming and even sardonic at times. We were refused the privilege of ordering from the lunch menu on account of being too late. Fair enough. However later arrivals were permitted to order burgers etc. The service was slow. The staff gave us the impression of being put upon whenever we asked for something or ordered an item. It is a real shame as the restaurant is in a beautiful spot inside Stanmer Park.

    The food was exceptional.. slow cooked lamb shanks. Service was good but we did have to get up and ask for dessert menu etc. It is nice not to be pestered but a little more attention would have been welcome. Overall an excellent experience.

    Good size portion but very stale and dry cake.cheese plate was a bit sparse for price too. Service was very good though and lovely place to visit

    Party grew from 4 to 7 on the day. All accommodated after a few minutes wait with minimum of fuss. Food was good and varied and served in a timely manner. Planning to return soon

    We all had an excellent breakfast at one garden. The service was excellent, very accommodating as we had issues with one of our cars and had to wait for a break down engineer, so our order was held for us until we were all available. Thank you!

    Was very happy with my party’s visit in most respects . However the bacon used in the Butchers z breakfast was commented on as being fatty ( streaky ) . Some people like it that way but our party felt it let the breakfast down .

    We had the lamb special - although tasty the portion sizes were small. We were sat away from the door, but it was still very cold inside and we all wore our coats throughout the meal.

    I’ve been want to eat at the One Garden restaurant for ages, so was pretty excited. It was freezing cold and I was with my elderly parents, so not off to a great start. Full of screaming children, the kitchen couldn’t seem to get the orders correct, had to wait over an hour for food, and then had most of my flat white poured into the saucer and over the table. Food was ok, burger was average. I’ll stick to the cafe next time.

    I've had wonderful experience at One Brighton in the past but not this time. We were a table of 8 with a reservation ahead of time. Yet when we arrived there weren't enough menus for everybody (adult or child), we had 4 (reading age) children and only one menu for them. There weren't enough water glasses for everybody on the table and the service was generally poor with us having ask to be noticed and pay which was a shame. We would have had pudding but were ignored for so long the children lost interest. It's such a shame because the food is really very nice but the service let the experience down. Likely won't be returning with so many other venues on offer.

    Had a branch at One Garden. Was a cold but crisp, frosty, and sunny morning and the garden view out from the table by the window was spectacular. Eggs Benedict was perfect. Beautifully presented and homemade hollandaise sauce was delicious! All tables were booked and lots of buzz with happy families and dogs. Highly recommended for meeting with friends and family.

    Food and service good but a bit chilly in the restaurant. There does not appear to be sufficient hearing for the space. Having said that, we kept our coats on.

    Lived up to expectation. No frills cafe environment, lovely friendly serving team, excellent high quality food and wine - by any standards, top quality ingredients. Family friendly, dog friendly, happy place. Main course took a while to come but was worth the wait!

    I love One Garden and have visited several times. On this occasion we went upon opening on a Sunday morning in December. Everything was great except it was so cold in there. We were sat next to a radiator and did ask for the heating to go on but it was still off by the time we left. We appreciate they had only just opened and it would get warmer as more people were in the restaurant but maybe warm it up for your early guests and then turn off once heated?

    Food was good. Service was attentive at the beginning but after we had eaten our main course it was hard to attract staff attention When we sat down the roof windows and door opened and several customers ourselves included were cold. We were told windows opened automatically and would shut soon. One member of staff told us she was hot!

    We booked brunch for 11.30 but were told when we arrived brunch was only served until 11.30 and we couldn’t order lunch until 12. The server was very nice about it and it wasn’t his fault but not ideal. Lunch choices very limited if you don’t want to spend around £15 on a main meal. They should have more light lunch items or continue to serve brunch later. The good is expensive for what it is. £8 for a very small bowl of soup

    Good selection of food with local ingredients. Super friendly and attentive staff. We had a lot of allergies and dietary requirements in our group and they really made sure to cater for us and to offer options. When we arrived, they told us they stopped serving the brunch menu and apologised to us by offering us free drinks which was very nice thing to do.

    Everything was really great- on arrival we were greeted in a friendly way and taken immediately to our table. The menu was limited in selection but quality was brilliant especially the Xmas special! The staff were very friendly and accommodating once we had ordered...if I came again however I would appreciate being offered some drinks fairly quickly after sitting down as it did take a little while for someone to come and take our order

    A lovely location for a restaurant and the food was very good. It's more of a cafe in layout and most people kept their coats on ( cold November day).

    We love to come here often, as the food is superb, and the staff friendly. But unfortunately on this occasion, between courses we were left waiting with our dirty plates piling up in front of us, for well over half an hour! Other tables were also experiencing the same slow service.

    Waiter was very rushed to take order to get it to the kitchen on time. More vegan options would be nice, felt like I was being awkward having to change my order to make it vegan, despite this being the only option on the phone.
