Oak and Apple

The place is lovely and nice ambiance. The wine is good. But I do think the food is quite average. The meat platter was very small for 30 euro and was all cold meats which I didn't expect. The butternut squash is a half squash and is okay but seems crazy to charge 18 euro for it. I think the food was okay but not living up to the cost or menu description. Our waitress unfortunately couldn't tell us what each thing was and was quite rude when we didn't want dessert despite spending 150 between two people for the meal.

The food was outrageously expensive. We are locals and we were shocked. I had a booking for today and I had to cancel as I won’t be returning and paying those rates.

Lovely restaurant. Food was lovely but the portion size very small and expensive for what we got. Its 'small plates' are up on €20 each. Ambience lovely and staff friendly. Food very tasty, just over priced

Food was excellent. Menu is very different and staff were very friendly and help full and gave excellent recommendations. The restaurant is very cozy and relaxing. Open fire and very nice ambiance. Will defiantly eat here again

Amazing food, could not fault it. The venison is to die for. I would suggest going in a group and sharing everything. We tried one of each of the share plates and boards. All fantastic. Scallops and venison won it for me though. Great wine and cocktail menu too!

Food was amazing and surprisingly filling as they are small dishes. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was a lovely relaxing environment for an enjoyable evening.

I was in the Oak & Apple recently for dinner, the food was outstanding. Love the small dishes that are just bursting with flavours, and the doughnuts!!!
Will definately be going back again and highly recommend it for a nice evening out!

Very pleased with the ambience and service provided. The chef was very creative in using familiar Irish flavours and ingredients into something different. Plates are small and for sharing as stated but pack a punch in terms of flavor.

Cocktails were nice too.

Delicious food mostly, small quantities, hard to choose a “meal”, but lovely if one is looking for nibbles and wine, or just not very hungry.

Not enough distance between tables therefore made us feel uncomfortable.

Food is fantastic, good selection, amazing flavours, great place to come with friends!

We really enjoyed our time at Oak & Apple, so much I cant wait to go there again. The food was amazing, so tasty and well presented. Gorgeous cocktails, it made the most perfect date night as the room had a lovely finish, cannot recommend the place more.

Lovely atmosphere, great service, lovely selection of wines. Felt that the cheese board and bread board were on the small side, but that's just a personal preference, and the quality of the food was super. We will be back!

Staff are fabulous, genuine,lovely to interact with & appear to love what they are doing and working at.
It can’t be under estimated as to how that impacts the overall experience.

I booked The Good room for my husbands birthday, we had been before and loved it, two of us ordered the French toast with bacon, but we had to return it as it was raw in the middle. The waitress was lovely and there was no issue it was just disappointing & It would have been nice to be offered fresh tea/ bacon with our new breakfast as they were cold, we didn't mention it on the day as everyone seemed stressed and busy, we just paid and left.

Good food, lovely wine, great service and a lovely atmosphere.

The food was outstanding, simply no other way to describe it. It’s a very different dining experience as it’s small plates of food for sharing so you need to order enough if you are hungry. Our portions were perfect for us, the venue is beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again soon.

I visited here with my husband for the second time. Again, staff were lovely and food was tasty. Jason Fahy was singing and playing guitar and this music really added to the atmosphere as it was the perfect volume and type of music...and his voice is beautiful. We will be back again as it is a great place to start your evening with chats and good food and drink.

charming new restaurant in Adare. A nice alternative to traditional restaurant. Ambiance excellent. Small plates with huge flavors. We had 5 plates and left completely satisfied. Price value excellent.

We made our booking online on Sunday morning for 2.30pm. We showed up on time looking forward to the tapas and were told on arrival that nobody had checked the bookings and that oak & Apple was not open. They offered us the brunch menu in the good room and said we'd have to wait for a seat. I was utterly shocked at how unprofessional this was. How on earth can you make a booking and be told, oh nobody checked it this morning. It was completely absurd. It ruined our Sunday afternoon as it was too late to make a booking anywhere else. If I make a booking, I like to think I can trust the restaurant to actually register the booking. Oak & Apple had even sent a confirmation email to me however the girl who greeted us at the door was unapologetic and suggested it was our fault that we booked only that morning. We were apparently supposed to know that none of their staff checked online bookings. Appalling customer service and completely unprofessional. I am in Adare every week and I will take my business elsewhere in future.

Oak and Apple is a gem, beautiful food in an intimate setting.

This is my third time at Oak & Apple & was not disappointed. Food was delicious & the cheese board had so many interesting elements to it. Will definitely be back!! Music on a Saturday night a nice addition.

The food was excellent. as was the service as the girls were friendly and informative. A very warm atmosphere and setting. Will definately be back to sample some of the other foods next time

Superb evening, food exquisite, service impeccable and the ambience vibrant, good wine list and cocktail list and an excellent musician later in the night to enjoy while sipping on a couple of espresso martinis. Very regular diner locally, elsewhere in Ireland and abroad and for me definitely in my Top 3 experiences in the last ten years. Flawless, well done!

Staff were really nice the girl serving couldn’t have been any more helpful I thought the restaurant was a little too dark , wine was lovely, I didn’t like the chicken it was very fatty and taste more like pork , chips were strange deep fried taste , all the food seemed to have been deep fried I liked it but wasn’t sure exactly to my taste. I would return but maybe order something fresher less fried taste .
