Great food, service and quality.
Absolutely loved the food, service, and atmosphere. I'll definitely be back soon!
Food was quite tasty but very overpriced. Server was extremely attentive (almost too much!). She kept coming back every 2 minutes.
Delicious food and great atmosphere!! I will definitely be back.
Food portions very small, Bolognese and Chicken Parm- pasta.
Service was slow. jb
It is our new go to place to celebrate birthdays and special events. The food is very good. I would highly recommend North Italia to my friends.
Only reason I didn't give a 5 is I requested a booth.
Service was slow and server seemed confused. They never came to refill water until we asked, we she did the pitcher was empty and she didn’t go get another.
The food was good, the wait was over an hour for simple pasta dishes and i never had a server come back and fill my drink (I was begging people for wafer).
Loved it! Would definitely go back.
Order for cheese on the side had cheese on the dish. When we pointed it out to the waiter, his response was the kitchen was busy. He offered no apology. Waiter forgot to bring out a salad that was ordered.
I would recommend with reservations. We were very please the first two times we visited this restaurant and the food was terrific. This time the food was just so so. My favorite dish, spaghetti and meatballs did not have the intricate flavors it did the first few times. The squid ink pasta which we were told was there specialty was a big disappointment. The calamari was mainly arugula lettuce. Very disappointed.
Food is fairly decent but the menu is extremely limited and honestly, kind of boring.
The silly grilled bread with 'good' olive oil appetizer was disappointing as there was very little olive oil, of any quality, present.
Entrees varied in quantity wildly so that the person with the smallest appetite ate her tortelloni fast while the rest of us had more sizable entrees to work through.
Service is extremely friendly and cheerful but execution is not there and seems it never will be. The server had no idea that dolcetta is on their wine list when I ordered a glass of it, and also couldn't answer a question about the beer list without disappearing for 10 minutes to ask the bartender.
No one had any idea who ordered what but the person who delivered the plates didn't even wait for an answer before putting plates down at random in front of each in my party of 4. Nothing horrible happened, it's just that I expect more and would appreciate the friendly energy being channeled into executing on service rather than kibbitzing with me like we're old friends.
The location is great and the food is good. For once the tables are not right next to each other so you could actually have a conversation without the person sitting at the next table overhearing everything
Food and service were excellent. Love the bolognese and tiramisu.
On the downside, it was loud there and we sat a good distance from the front door but could feel a draft - it was a very cold night out.
We went on Valentine’s Day which I do t think if fair to judge any rest
The fixed price valentines day dinner was fair at best. I played it safe and went with the lobster appetizer and filet mignon for entre. Neither was that tasty. My wife played it safe also with the meatball appetizer which was OK and the Bolognese which was just OK. Even the drinks were just OK. Not a favorite place but everywhere else was booked.
i was sick after eating the meal; we ordered the caesar salads, procioutto pizza, desert...tasted good but the body disagreed.
Fresh food and lots of flavor. Highly recommend the calamari and tiramisu.
The food was great. Our server Nathan was great. Super nice and helpful.
Great service in bar area, even spilled my wine and they gave me a new glass! Great food and good plave to go with friends!
Good food and very nice location and mood for a great dining experience.
We had experienced North Italia in San Diego a few weeks ago, so when we learned there's one in Reston, we thought it would be great for dinner with kids and grandkids. Exactly right! My son and daughter-in-law loved it and the 6 & 4-year olds had a good time too. Food was great. And waiter Nate made it fun with recommendations and comments. He said it was his first solo weekend on the floor, but he handled everything like a seasoned pro.
Incredible food and loved the music and vibe to the restaurant. Great value and fun place. Friendly staff. A treasure in Reston Town Center ❤️
Service was superb, food was delicious. Will definitely come back here!
Food was cold and everything was incredibly over priced! $20 for a glass of wine! You have to pay $5.00 to get bread which was cold and greasy!
We went there for dinner and enjoyed the chef’s board, fig, prosciutto and goat cheese pizza and a pasta dish. The service was prompt and food was very good. Definitely a nice dinner out.
Breakfast was way too greasy (despite telling them not to put oil when ordered) and took waiter way too long to take our order even though there was only one other table dining there for brunch. Also we were there for a birthday which was told ahead of time but the waiter was still not aware of this.
We made a reservation and arrived early. When we checked in we were told they would not put us on the waitlist even though they said we would be seated within 30 mins vs waiting a hour. We ended up having someone else in our group put their name down and we where seated faster so we “missed the reservation.” The waiter/waitress where too busy in their phones taking selfies in the kitchen and bar area to even fill up our glasses with water. We tried to order dessert instead we got the check and she was no where to be seen after that. They didn’t come and check on us at all and when it came to the bill we had to ask someone else to get our waitress to run the check so we could leave. The 4 of us will not be back.
Thought we would give this a try after all the good reviews. The hostess was so rude when we entered, we actually left to see if we could get into a different restaurant. We returned because we could not get into another spot. My food tasted like a Lean Cuisine, The cheese sauce was watery and had no taste. The chicken in the pasta was less than 2 ounces. We ordered espresso which was horrid, over-roasted and bitter. I definitely had better and paid a lot less.
Food was outstanding, service was great. Prices were fine, but the restaurant was very, very noisy. This space has always been noisy, no matter the restaurant, but was hoping they would design in some sound dampening features. We enjoyed our meal and will go back, but the noise will be a factor as to whether we choose this spot or somewhere you don't have to work so hard to hold a conversation.
My experience the first two times at this North Italia was good. The last time I went with my husband the service was fair . We ordered a bottle of wine that the waiter assured us was full bodied. When it arrived it was very light. The manager was accommodating and let us select another bottle. The Yucca chips were very greasy and limp, not at all crispy like a chip. Pastas were lukewarm.
The waiter was not attentive. I am not sure if he was assigned to another area in the restaurant , but we rarely saw him. We all had water to drink with meal and our glasses we never refilled until we had all finished eating. We had to wait 10-15 minutes before our order was taken after water was brought to table. We ordered 3 salads and 2 were brought out and the 3rd salad came out about 10 minutes later. Also when I made the reservation, I requested a booth or an area with little traffic. We were sat at a table right in the middle of the restaurant. We requested another table and were given an empty booth on the side which was very nice and much appreciated.
The service was lacking. I think it was just our server who was not very attentive. I saw other servers who seemed to be on top of their game. The food was average. My fish was a little too charred. Possibly the temp was too high on the grill. The atmosphere was cool. And the restaurant was full. I might try it again but I’m in no rush to go back.
Anniversary w the hunny
First time to North Italia for brunch after previously enjoying dinners over the past few months. Overall, everything was great, however, the server was a bit slow to respond and return to the table. We had a few miscommunications on the order, but food and drink were quite good.
My moms bday and she loved it. Great food and staff
Everything was great. The service was excellent, some new items on the menu, food arrived quickly and was wonderful.
Host stand girls rude and disrespectful. Please fire.
